Slimming World Newbie

Hi all

I joined slimming world yesterday and I have to say I'm baffled by the diet and also in disbelief that I can eat so much and lose weight!!! I'm going to give it my best shot though and I go the gym 5 days a week x
 
I am trying lol I am only on day 1 though :)) a girl I see at the gym everyday has lost 2 stone and she looks fantastic, so I asked her what her secret is and she said 'slimming world, it's great'!! So I thought I would see for myself :)) I can't believe all the food you can eat but I am also a bit freaked incase I mess it up. What do you think of the diet and how have you been doing? X
 
I only started on Monday and finding it good so far, I was on ww and found coz crisps were low on points I ate them which is nit good so thought id try sw, are you doing the extra easy? :) x
 
Yes I'm doing the extra easy as I love pasta and rice and potatoes aswell as being able to have meat. Is that the option you have chosen? I don't really fancy the red or green days as they seem to much like hard work haha I got to my goal weight with WW 8 years ago but I found it really difficult, the weighing and measuring didn't gel well with having 2 young children. It was hard getting to goal and even harder with the maintenance plan :( I am sooo hoping SW works as I go away in August and my husband is pretty fit and I just don't want to look like a beached whale next to him. Oh an thanks Irene x
 
Oh im sure you wouldn't look like a whale hun, yeah im doing extra easy as love pasta and rice. Im doing slimming world from home as suffer with panic attacks and not got confidence to go to meetings atm. So im hoping to meet friends on here and have their support, I bet dieting with children is hard work x
 
Hi im starting slimming world tomorrow . I joined after christmas but the got lost of track cause i work shifts and stoped going to meetings and ended up putting the stone i lost back on. So fresh start tomorrow slimming worlds a great diet and lots of fun . Good luck with the rest of the week . Ps i find the magazine good for meal ideas :) . X
 
Oh sugar :( sorry to hear that hun!! Atleast on here we've all got one another for support an we can keep each other going on good days and bad! Be nice to share our losses on weigh in days and share food tips 2!! Oh talking of food tips I made SW chips for my tea tonight and they were yummy and freeeee :) x
 
Hey booro atleast you've had the strength to come back. The 1st step is always the hardest and you've done it!! I stumbled across this site earlier and I'm starting to feel that I'm glad I did, some really nice people on here and were all in the same boat :) x
 
Yeah it would be really good to all cheer eachother on ! . We will all reach our goals one day im sure . It would be loverly to find out how everyones doing and your losses eachweek ! . Im a student and i work part time too so oftern i dont have much free time anyone got any tips for excersize ideas ? X
 
I got the ministry of sound DVD its just dancing right the way through and lots of fun an really works, also the charley brooks before an after workout is quite intense but also lots of fun once you get your rhythm. Hope this helps x
 
I am starting SW on Monday from home. The plan can be very confusing after doing WW but trust me it does get easier. I did it last year for 4 months and lost almost 2 st!
 
Oh well that gives me some incentive then, I still feel a little unsure with the plan, I understand it a little better than yesterday!!! Well done on losing 2 stone on it though, that's great. If you've done it before you can do it again :))) good luck x
