Hi all

I'm new to this site so thought I'd say a quick hello. I started SW a week or so ago and found the first week really easy. I'm struggling this week though unfortunately as I wasn't very well for a couple of days then after that I had a few nights out. I think I just really need to find the balance and organise myself a little better. I just hope I don't put on what I lost in my first week!

I've tried Scottish Slimmers before and lost over a stone but I struggled to keep it off. So far the SW plan seems so much simpler and I think (or hope!) I'll get on a bit better with this one. I'm hoping to find lots of help and inspiration on this site as well as at my class.

I've set myself an interim target of 10% of my body weight but would like to lose a bit more than that over time. I turn 30 next summer and then have a big family holiday booked for October so those are my two main goals.

I'm very determined - bring it on! :)

Have you made a diary on here yet? It's great for keeping track of your food/syns etc and also other minis can comment on it and give you advice x Everyone here is in the same boat and only too willing to help wherever possible. And make sure you comment on other diaries too so you build up a nice group of friends x

Thanks for replying. I haven't started a diary on here yet, I'm keeping one for the class for the first few weeks but might start one on here after that.

Loving this site so far. I'm on it all the time now!

It's great isn't it! The guys on here are amazing and there's always someone to talk to. And there are so many recipes etc to try too!

I would think about doing a diary x you don't have to post every night, but i find it does help. And you'll soon get people posting on it regularly and helping out. I've met so many wonderful people on here...and several have actually become very good friends who I totally adore!

Glad you're enjoying if anyway! Hope the dieting is going ok?

Hi skinnydawn, I'm doing not too bad. Got a few Christmas nights out planned over the next few weeks which I was worried about so I had a chat with my class leader and have now decided to aim for maintaining my weight over the festive period and then aiming for losses after that. I feel so much better now that I'm not putting so much pressure on myself. It was always going to be tough for me to start a plan like this at this time of year because I'm a party girl at heart! Obviously any losses I do have will be a huge bonus though!
 
Well that sounds like a really sensible idea to me! Good on your consultant for suggesting it. At least this way you can enjoy the festive season without stressing too much, and then get back on it in the new year x
 
*Shock horror* I lost 6lb this week!!! I can't work out how this has happened and I'm convinced it's a mistake. I certainly won't be surprised to see a small gain next week anyway...

Thank you, I'm just finding it hard to believe after having two big Christmas nights out and I wasn't exactly well behaved when it came to food or drinks on either! Certainly not going to complain though :)
