Like many, this is not my first time on Slimming World, in-fact, there aren't many diet types that i haven't tried and i'm a full believer in each and every one of them. They all work in their own ways but they don't work for me. something tells me, i may be the problem! I don't know what it is with my brain but the minute it thinks its restrained or having to follow a set of rules, if just wants to rebel and ergo...i never stay on plan.
Remarkably i have lost over a stone on the Cambridge diet. It took me 3 weeks to do (amazing!) but then, although still 3.5 stone from goal, my brain gets all cocky and suddenly "I can do it on my own, i don't need a diet plan to follow". And there you have it, the moment it falls apart, whether you know it at the time or not.
On 1st Jan this year (at exactly midnight!) i put down my wine glass and pick up a glass of water to cheers to the bells, that was the start of the new me! that day i started Cambridge plan and wasn't going to look back until the day i saw 9 stone on my scales. clearly, i'm not there yet and clearly i didn't stick to Cambridge! if i had of stuck i would only be about 0.5 - 1 stone off the goal!
Hey ho - no point crying over spilled milk! i am where i am, and that is still a good deal lighter than the start of the year so although i haven't been 100% committed to myself, i am still going in the right direction. It just feels like i'm walking there as opposed to driving my super charged Audi R8 to get there! (I don't actually own an Audi R8)
As of today (12th April), i am going to follow the "guidance" of slimming world, i have 16 days until i put myself in the car and drive to the airport in pure excitement for my holiday in Mexico. My pledge to myself is to be another 4lbs lighter by that day, 2 weeks (& 2 days) - is plenty enough time to achieve this goal.
That is all for now..........
