hey guys.
im hoping to stick to plan on christmas day.i thought "whats the point in spoiling all my hard work for one day!".new years eve however i will be drinking, but i have never noticed alcohol to affect my weightloss in the past. plus im 20 years old.i will be drinking a lot! :party0036:lol :D
im staying in for christmas too,so just me,my mum and brother, and my mum is following sw too, which makes life so much easier!! if my brother wants chocolate he can walk to the shop. haha

i was just wondering ...all you ladies that are planning to stay on plan, are you making any syn free treats? and does anyone have a good syn free/low syn desert recipe please??

There's some stuff in this thread about buffet style stuff. i dont think I remember seeing any desserts in it though, but there are load sof those in the recipes section anyway.

thankyou! i will take a look.
are you following plan on christmas day or having a day off? xx

EDIT : just realised its your thread :D XXX

Oh Im having Xmas Day off and Boxing Day. We're going on holiday for 2 weeks so I dread to think what the scales will say when I get back :sigh:

Good for you for planning on being good on xmas day! I wont be good that day as spending the day at mums and im not sure what she is cooking, but it certainly wont be sw friendly! Im just going to be good until then, and do plenty of exercise. Ill then have that one day off with cheeky food and drink, and then get right back on it on boxing day which shouldnt be a problem as i wont be sitting around stuffing my face as i will be working lol. New years eve, well ill see what happens, no doubt ill be bad, but again ill get right back to it on new years day :)

I'm planning on sticking to my syns on the day too!!

My planned food:

B - oat so simple or weetabix.(hex b)

Christmas dinner - normally about 3pm

Starter - prawn cocktail - going to make my own sauce and it'll b about 3 syns I think. Just se extra light Mayo and tomato sauce.

Main - turkey, lots of veg, maybe 1 roast parsnip if not done in fry light, and 1 roast potato again if not in fry light (if I can I am going to par boil some potatoes and parsnips and then roast them in fry light making them FREE!!)

Won't have dessert at the time but I'm going to make sure I have muller lights, fruit and meringue nests (2.5 syns each) at the ready!!

We normally have desserts (cake, trifle, Christmas pudding and cheese board) at about 8pm. This is when the mullers will save me!!!

With that plan (and if roasts r done in fry light) I've planned about 5.5syns in, leaving me plenty for the odd choc or hot choc or glass of wine if I want!!

I'm with you tho, it's only one day!! And it will all be on offer again next year!!

yeah,i thought about having the day off,but iv only been on it 3 weeks and i know that i will personally feel like a failure for eating crap if that makes sense!:sigh: i think if i had been following it a bit longer i would have had a day off.and im soo lucky that my mum is following sw! one day off will be fine anyway! so make sure you enjoy it :D xxx

that sounds like a really good plan!!! every year after christmas dinner i usually feel sick because i have eaten too much rich food and then end up falling asleep on the sofa anyway! lol x
im going to have .........

breakfast -bacon with the fat trimmed off, eggs, tomatoes, beans.mushrooms and 2 wholemeal toast (heb)

dinner- gammon (as i hate turkey) cooked in diet coke. love it cooked in coke,so sweet!! roast potatoes cooked in fry light, and lots of veggies and 2 yorkshire puds (4 syns) i dont eat gravy so thats more syns i dont have to worry about

and then for desert im thinking of making a low syn one from off the sw website.there is loads to choose from, some look really yummy. whatever syns i have left will go on vodka :p xx

10 months on the plan, Christmas treat to me is 3 days off and well deserved it will be too!
