Slug and lettuce

Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before, I couldn't see anything in any recent threads. I'm going to the slug and lettuce for lunch tomorrow, I'm not a fussy eater, but feel awkward about 'ordering off the menu' eg asking for substitutions. With that in mind, I'm thinking the pasta arrabiata may be the best idea and avoid the garlic ciabatta strips that come with it (I'm guessing they're quite synful).

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Some of the salads look good and it specifically says on the menu that they will serve the dressing on the side if you ask.

Ordering off the menu and asking for substitutions are two totally different things. No reason why you shouldn't ask for a salad instead of chips, for instance. You are paying, after all/
