Started today!!! OMG bit the bullet and started today!!!

Well, the scales this morning cried "one at a time, please!!" First day today, not too bad, apart from the muesli bar, it was vile!!! The banana milkshake made up for it though. What condiments can I use i.e. can I have a little balsamic vinegar on my salad?
 
i use balsamic vinegar on my salads . i put some in the wok and stir fry the chicken in it

Wecome to s&s and well done on your first day, you can add lots of different spices, soya sauce lite, pepper, some salad dressings etc, u need to check its low in carbs and cals and not caontaining citric acid, only have abit though ;) x
 
Thank you for your advise and support. Day 2 nearly complete but was more difficult today, cakes in the office did not help!!! I used a little balsamic on my salad this evening, much nicer. When will I not feel hungry though!!!!! lol

days 3 to 5 different for every one only a few more days ,to get in to ketosis .
when you get nasty taste in your mouth and you feeling the cold your normally in ketosis

Well done on your 100% days hun, not long now you will be in ketosis and it will get much much easier, stick at it :) xx
 
Thank you, 3 day nearly done without too much difficulty apart from feeling hungry but am taking comfort that I now only have a couple more days max. for this feeling to go away. It is normal to get headaches, I am drinking the water etc but today in particular had a hum dinger of one.

Wasn't too bad today, apart from the headache. thank you. I never imagined that a site like this could be so helpful in keeping you focused. I am only at the beginning, so would welcome any advise or recipes i.e. what to do with chicken or chicken!!!
 
Thank God, it is Friday!! What a week, very busy at work, which was good I suppose stopped me thinking of food. Day 4: Nearly complete, did not wake up hungry this morning which was a first but felt it later in the day, maybe this is a sign of the start of ketosis. Have a fabulous week end everyone.

If anyone has any suggestion of what I can do with chicken to make it a little different. Stir fried in balsamic, brilliant idea!
 
Cook in a roasting bag along with some of the allowed veggies and add some herbs / spices - chilli, paprika, whatever takes you fancy, but steer clear of anything with lemon in it. If you look for a thread called Weasey's Protein Meals (or something like that) there are a few different ideas in that.
 
hey tkay ive noticed we started on the same day! that means we can both weight in together and moan together haha, you done 100% so far and btw did you know you can drink coke zero? and dr.pepper zero but not diet varietys, its what gets me through tbh =[ lol my feet are freezing! oh and i got some ketone sticks from the chemist they tell you if your in ketosis or not, if you follow it 100% you will be anyway its just i like to know what my bodys doing lol, good luck! :bighug:

Wow, what a day!!! Not felt really hungry today but have been keeping myself busy, housework, cleaning windows, washing. Going to Asda in a minute to buy Coke Zero and Dr Pepper light as have struggled with water today, have only had a couple of cups of coffee!!!

Have noticed my rings and watch are getting looser, let's see what Tuesday brings.

Chellywelly, I will be looking out for your updates, if I can your calendar!!!

yup! ive lost 5lb so far! had a sneaky weight in, i know most of it will be water tho =[ lets see what tuesday brings ;)
 
I have just had a glass of Coke Zero, oh...........my.............god...........it tasted like heaven!!!!!! Thank you for letting me know that I can drink it!!! I had a sneaky one too, it was quite encouraging however, not counting my chickens until Tuesday!!! Roll on, Tuesday!
