I everybody I'm thinking about jumping back on the wagon for the umpteenth time :sigh: :( is it just me or does this diet work while your on it but as soon as you come off it and go bk to food the over whelming cravings just take over and I'm back to square one again! :( gained all the weight I've lost and more! :( has anyone actually ever kept the weight off and if so which diet did you carry on with once you came off the meal replacement diet? I'm so fed up with Yo yo ing :(
Thanks deb x

Hiya, I did Lighterlife and lost 8 stone 2years ago. I have (on the whole) managed to maintain this loss, counting calories and choosing healthy options. Over the past 3 months however, this has become increasingly more difficult and I have gained about 2 stone. I am going to start Exante on monday to shift this extra weight and have realised that this will always be a lifelong battle with my food demons! You have to change your eating habits for life which is not so easy when we have spent most of our lives developing unhelpful eating habits contributing to our weight gain. For me, I just keep chipping away in the hope that one day, I will win the battle for good! Good luck with your journey, keep us posted on your successes!

Wow that's fab 8 stone :) and kept most of it off thats such an achievement :) I'd lost 9 altogether and as soon as I got to a weight I was happy at and I came off the diet I just got these overwhelming urges to eat everything in site! And such a mix off emotions all to do with the food and drink I was consuming! :( and I gained all the weight I'd lost and more :( and always seem to come back to the food replacement diet because I know it works but boy it's hard work :( can't understand why I do it to my self it's really getting me down now but I know this is the only way I can get the weight off! And I'm hoping this time I'll keep it off :) fingers crossed

I'm hoping I'll be able to maintain, I plan to spend some time researching maintenance while I'm losing weight, seeing how other people do it successfully. I'll also increase my exercise a lot once I get to goal and train for a half marathon.

I was the same I have all these plans to do this and that after I've lost the weight but they just go out the window once I find my old friend again "food" the cravings are unreal it's like famine feast!

I am the biggest yo-yo dieter in the world. Where some people play about with the same 3lb, I play about with the same flaming 3 stone - on/off on/off. This isn't doing my body any good as I have lost most of the elasticity in my stomach muscles now, its just flab!!!! This is it this time - once it's off, it stays off !!!
