Struggling

Hi there, I started this diet just over 3 weeks ago, actually I did CD SS for the first week and then changed to SnS on week 2. The first week I lost 6 lb although I was 100%, the second week I lost 6 lb, then last week I lost only 1 lb although it was TOTM so wasn't too bothered. This week it looks like I will be losing 1 lb again, and I haven't cheated once, have been 100% and been drinking about 4 litres of fluids a day...... I lost 5 stone on CD 3 years ago and my weight loss was much higher then.... any ideas as to why I am not losing much? I really thought my weight would drop once TOTM had finished.
 
Are you drinking plenty ? Anything be knocking you out if ketosis?? Toilet all ok ??

If your having protein - which source and how much??

Those are the simple things, I wouldn't stress. Your still right on track to be at 1stone down in 4 weeks. Hormones are a pain but it will start moving

I am drinking 4 litres of water a day, and am having 4 packs a day, nothing extra, except the veg and milk allowance. Strangely enough when I did CD 3 years ago I did the whole thing without being in ketosis, the ketosis doesn't help you lose weight, it just helps with the mood and hunger.
 
Sounds like its just hormones, 12lb in three weeks is superb!!

Could be the heat, I only lost 1lb this week.

I've done CD in the past too and my losses are much slower this time around. I think being on and off vlcd's has messed up my metabolism.

As I keep trying to tell myself, at least it's coming off, albeit slower than others!
 
Guess I just need to be patient...... was just thinking if I am only losing 1 lb a week may as well be doing a different diet.... lol
 
Just want to say don't go down that route, I was on s&s 2 months ago I done 3 weeks and lost just over a stone then lost 1lb then 1lb again I thought bugger this I can do more than this on my own, as I say that was 2 months ago I have put the stone I lost back on and started back on s&s on Monday, if I had just of stuck with it I would be a couple of stone down by now xx

Oh I know exactly how you feel! The problem I have with other diets is they make me gain rather than lose!
 
I guess I know that if I start eating again I will just blow it..... so will stick with this for now... thank you.
 
Hi Linda i hope you are doing ok i,m going through similar too you i previously did LL and lost very quickly on it, but it was the 1st time i had done a vlcd, i am on day 9 and apart from a small wobble yesterday:eek: i was 100%, wasn,t even having the veg but have hardly lost anything and feel bloated i drink around 4litres of water too, guess we both have too say very strong and motivated xx
 
Don't worry. If you stick at it you will have a big loss next week I'm sure. I lost nothing in week 3 despite being 100% and was ready to throw in the towel, but I hung on in there and lost 5lbs in week 4, making a total of 15lbs in 4 weeks. So although I had a sts week, I still got my stone in a month which is what I was aiming for. Good luck. I'm sure you will see big results really soon if you keep at it.
 
One thing i found in the past that slowed my losses down was too much caffiene! i was drinking coffee only a couple a day and drinking coke zero with loads of water but obviously not enough as my body retained water! plus i couldnt sleep at night but didnt realise what it was until i put a thread on here and someone pointed it out to me! seems so obvious now but i just couldnt see what was going wrong!
