Syn help please :-)

Morning all :) firstly what a great website! Have been lurking and reading the last day or so as have just signed up to SW for the first time (previously did WW where I lost almost 5 stone a few years back but have put a bit back on since and can't get to grips with WW any more for some reason!

My first question is do i need to or should I eat my syns every day? Is there any benifit to the diet by not eating any or very minimal or eating 10-15 a day?

Any help would be great!

Hi Seth, welcome to Slimming World! It is recommended that you eat between 5 and 15 Syns a day so as not to feel deprived. You can use them for anything you like: a bar of chocolate, oil to cook with, tomato ketchup, etc. The choice is yours!

You should probably aim to eat a higher number of Syns to begin with. The reason being, if your weight loss begins to slow down or plateau, you can then begin to lower your Syns to re-boost your weight loss, if that makes sense.
 
Thanks for the reply! So if I've made it to the end of the day without using many syns I should have a bag of crisps or some chocolate? I made it through yesterday and only use 4 syns and I felt quite full by the end of the day?
