taking a break?

I have been 100% for two weeks and I am going to stay 100% for another 4 but I was thinking of taking a day off before starting the next month. I don't think I will have any trouble getting back on the packs the day after as I am not really finding it that hard but I wanted to get some opinions before I do so... Do you think I should take the day break OR wait until my planned 3 days off in November when we go away for my birthday?

If you think that you can get straight back on it then go for it. However it is soooo hard to start again when you have a break. I had a weekend off in September and its taken me eight months to get back into the zone. (I have no willpower though!) x

I really don't think it will be a problem for me. I enjoy the meals and as for will power for once I have it! (I must have to be surrounded everyday with the cakes and chocolate etc that fill the nurses office from thankful patients. Watch all the other staff stuff their faces and not have any of it) :)

I think taking a break just for the sake of it is a really bad idea. You might find it easy just now but there are SO many people who sail through the first period on a VLCD and never actually get back on track after coming off. If its for something special/specific then thats different but dont take a break from the packs if theres no reason for it.

Of course it's your decision but if it were me I'd probably stick to the plan. I learnt the hard way. Even after losing weight on the diet, I struggled to get back on it. I've had a few stops and starts and do regret not having continued as I would've been at my healthy weight by now. Good luck with your decision x

Totally agree with Starlight. It doesn't matter how easy you are finding it now there are just so many people who were exactly the same and then couldn't get back on track after having a break. I've had a few breaks now and I can honestly say that it is more difficult to get back on track after each successive break.

I think you guys are talking at cross purposes. WT suggested that the OP leave the break until she had done 12 weeks I think, not to take the 12 week break after 2 weeks. At least that's how I read it :)

lol my reading was WT was suggesting the OP wait til the 12 week break but my reading of the thread was that wasnt the kind of break she had in mind.

That's what I said tho-about how you have to have it after 12 weeks!

That's never the sort of break I have in mind either ;) :party0036:

Ok sorry-I guess I made a mistake! I thought everyone had to have a break after 12 weeks :( well I'm gonna have mine anyway :)

I think there's a 'break' :angel09:WT and then there's a 'BREAK' :eating: if you get my meaning :)

Ah right ok! Had to go to the web version to see what those emoticons/smilies were as they don't show on the app ;)

Lol, I never use the app, I use the main site both on the laptop and the phone. I hate most mobile apps as they remove too much content and then I get cross :)

I think I will leave it until the planned few days off in November for my birthday. I get measured for my wedding dress at the end of September don't want to risk not getting maximum weight loss before then :) have to be careful after the measuring though as they can only take the dress in by two sizes without ruining it and the dress doesn't arrive till 6 weeks before the wedding which means between the end of sept and mid-jan I can only lose what ever amount equals 2 dress sizes for me!
