What a time I’ve had. As you know I had to go into hospital for a few days to have some work done on a cracked jaw. I had to stay in a bit longer than normal because my B/P drops almost to nothing when I have an anaesthetic (My doctor says ‘You blinking old nurses are all the same. We never know what you are going to do when you get back to the ward’… Charming!) Anyway, I felt I had a bit of a headache and my face felt a bit tender, but I didn’t take too much notice until I woke up the next morning with shingles. They bounced me back home so fast I had smoke coming out of me slippers. I’ve nursed people with this form of shingles, Herpes Zoster, and knew it was painful, but I couldn’t have imagined just how painful.
I’m back to normal now. My face no longer scares cats and as if we haven’t had enough on our plates, the house is at long last on the market. It’s not as arduous as it sounds, all the hard work has been done over the past 2 years. We are so looking forward to moving, we’re not getting our hopes up because houses are slow moving in our area.
I haven’t lost an ounce of weight, but I’ll get back on the diet when my mind is back in the right place. I don’t want to lose touch with you all so will pop in here now and again.
Doctor:’ What’s your lowest weight been Tas?’ As he looked at the scale results as if he couldn’t believe them
Me:’ 6lbs 4ozs on May 31[SUP]st[/SUP] 1950’
