Tesco rice

Hi can you tell me if Tesco boil in the bag basmati rice is free on ee? I was under the impression it was and have eaten a whole bag

I would say it was free as long as you had 1/3 super free veg or fruit with it

Check the ingredients list. Does it have oil in it? Some prepared rice does. If so, it may have some syns.

It's not prepared rice though - just dry rice in a plastic bag that you pop in a pan of boiling water to cook

Unfortunately that wouldn't count as a good EE meal then as you didn't have any superfree foods.

Sorry - misunderstood. I thought it was cooked rice. Which I wouldn't have thought if I had read the original post properly!!!
