Since joining sw two weeks ago I've starting cooking and baking some of the sw recipes. They taste really nice but I'm having trouble with the chips and the 1/2 syn cake.
The chips seem to ooze water on when cooking so I have to drain them several times. Is this normal?
Also the half syn cake became very very soggy very quickly so I had to throw it away .
Are there any reasons for this?

I've done the syn free chips a few times now and not had any issues with oozing water. What potatoes are you using? And ste you letting them rest for 10mins after boiling? X

Tried a few types of spuds. Im not boiling them first, could that be the reason? Lol

Possibly yeah, follow the syn free chip recipe on the slimming world website. You boil for 4 mins, then you drain and let rest before putting in oven x

Just made sw wedges which is pretty much the same as chips and boiled slightly first and much better . Thanks santa_nethy

Really nice! Sprinkled them with pepper and a little bit of salt. Very addictive tho! Enjoyed them with the sw burger and salad. Yum yum!

I've not really cooked anything else from sw apart from the chips! Need to get organised! X
