I get my bacon from tesco (i shop online) and when i click on the nutritional info, it says the bacon is 0 carbs but it has got nitrate or sodium nitrate in it. How does this effect anything if its zero carbs?

Hiya. Every low carb book I've read advises not to eat meat containing nitrates as they're suppose to be very bad for you. i think they contain carcinogens(cancer-causing chemicals). As they're too expensive I'll take the risk, am a smoker anyhow. lol
lol - im a smoker too. it would be great to eat organic but i simply cant afford it. At the end of that day is something is zero carb - its going in my mouth!
