I came across this picture when browsing through a blog. The post itself was about software, but I think the poster applies to a lot more than that
The blog mentioned that sometimes being able to pinpoint the real reason you want to give up can help you focus on overcoming whatever it is that's stopping you from trying. Sometimes they are short-lived reasons like feeling sorry for yourself after having a bad day, other times its something a bit more long-term and deep-rooted.
Me - I'm guilty of most of them at one point or another. Expecting fast results, stopping believing in myself, dwelling on mistakes, overworking myself and burning out, feeling sorry for myself, seeing failure and turning back.
