Morning Linz. We were awake before 5am so we walked 4 miles & got peed on Mild though.

Wow.. thats commitment!! Does feel warm even if it looks wintery!:sigh:

Morning Linz, morning all, how come you guys are up so bright (Dark?) and early.

Hubby's on site in London today Jim so his alarm went off early & I usually wake up, then I had a little 3 yr old appear at the door at 0600 so took her downstairs so that she didn't wake up her brother! x

I'd have bough her into bed with me Linz, Ours always crept into our bed when they were little.

I did for a while Jim but trying to play diving mermaids quietly just wasn't happening! x

I love the weekend mornings when we end up with all 4 of us are in bed! Especially this time of year when its still dark... great conversations usually take place & lots of daddy tickling!

Believe or not, we find it easier getting up in the dark to walk than in the summer. I think it makes us feel more smug. You get all sorts of fair weather types in the summer. 'It's our walk & we do it all year....so bugger off'. We don't say that out loud

I've just realised what your talking about. Watched it last night :-O Brilliant twist with Shay!! Tracey looked weird though. Sagging face, scary!!
I made Steve watch the end & I was crying all through it. I want the next series to start now!!!

We only motivate ourselves because both Steve's parents died from diabetic related illnesses. My mum had it, but she wasn't big, tiny. She smoked, drank too much & said walking was 'a waste of time'. She died last xmas just after her 72nd birthday. She was nearly blind, had heart disease, had a walker in the house, a wheelchair outside &, the biggie chronic kidney disease. So she copped all the baddies through lifestyle choices. I was a horrible 5 years watching her waste away. Pitiful.

Therefore, we are very easily motivated

It's also why I'm so pleased Linz has made the right choice for herself while she is still young & beautiful

Diabetes is such a dreadful disease if not looked after properly... how terribly sad Sharon but like you say a great motivator!
