New boss must think I'm a complete loon!!

As if my first phone conversation wasn't bad enough.... the latest one made me blush really bad!!

We were chatting thru products etc that his company deal in & he was saying that when I'm doing my shop in tesco's or out & about in other stores... I'll always be checking out prices & will never look at batteries, torches etc without comparing deals. I replied with 'oh yes, I remember when I first met my husband I remember him teaching me how to look at ceilings differently!' well I thought I'd killed him on the end of the phone... it went deathly quiet then this massive eruption of laughter....took me a second then my face went bloomin' hot!!! After he stopped laughing & I managed to speak again I did explain that my husband specialises in ceilings (for his job) in construction which is why when we used to go anywhere we spent time looking at them... Thank God this bloke has my sense of humour!!

And he's given me a job where I have to talk to people on the phone... the only time I've spoken in a relatively sane manner with him was in person, everytime on the phone its been complete carnage!
