Morning all, should feel uber motivated today as its my day off but intead I feel shattered!! Anway off to take the kids to the church summer club this morning, then we're going for a swim & then off to a mates for the afternoon, am hoping that the sun will make an appearence by then as its a bit gloomy & overcast, infact it looks like the heavens could open at any minute!!
Do you think its alright to leave a note for delivery drivers to ask them to put parcels thru the back gate today as we're in & out all day, have said that its for a special 4yr olds party so hopefully that will tug at their heart strings to please leave them!!
Feel tired today, just wonder if thats coz I know its a chilled out non-work day??

Well you have been running around enough to make yourself tired. Agree though that often the adreneline keeps us going on the craziest days! Remember to give yourself some downtime - perhaps plan it in!!!!
Agree that the murky weather just confirms my view of british summers.....although as an optimist i just KNOW it's going to be incredibly sunny when we are camping next week ?!

Ps definitely worth a try on the note for delivery men - make sure you leave a signature for them and 80% of the time they oblige!

Its amazing Gem, how many parents hate the hols... I love the fact I get some time with the kids, they are at school so much! I completely understand why you'd be enjoying the hols these days. xx
Ha ha... not a chance! Worked til 1430, then took the kids straight to teas on the green til 1700, Sainsburys then arrived with the shopping, had my haircut, then hit Tesco's for what sainsburys couldn't deliver, cooked dinner, wrapped more pressies that have arrived & am now at doing party bags! Hey all, cool day today, won a 65k a year contract today all from a chance phone call, sent my boss on his hols with a smile on his face!
Had a lovely but busy day today am chilling doing party bags/books with a chilled glass of red... tomorrow is cleaning, decorating & prettyfying!! Can't wait its partytime!!!!

I know Gem... you can do loads of things without spending, I think we all enjoy the days that we make our own freebie activities. Picnics, a load of mates in a park, in a field, treasure hunting on the forest... its lush!!

I love it, negotiating, debating & calculating pricing, working out profits & percentages, got my heart racing & I love the whole working out how to undercut others (harsh I know but I don't know them!) thats when I LOVE my job!Fantabulous news re the contract hun, that is great!
Ha ha... he said to me today, he believes people buy from people & thats why he took me on... apparently I listen & I give good chat!!!
He likes what I find out about people... I spoke to a guy he does business with everyday but was suprised when I emailed him to ask about how his best man's speech went... he says I gleam info, people like to tell me things!! I have no idea why or if its true but if it keeps me employed....... all the better!!
