I'm afraid I am too much of a newbie here to know much of anything but I just wanted to say good luck. From the last posts it sounds like you know what you want and you have researched extensively. It's wonderful when the ones you love are there to support you and it seems like your OH is a wonderful person. Good luck with everything you choose to do. You come across as a lovely person and you are also generous with your time for others, you deserve happiness, and if this is what you have chosen to do I will join the group in wishing you all the best xx

So proud of you being able to post this x I (and I know others) will be here to support you NO matter which way you turn. I have no bias either way on WLS or dieting. YOU need to do what is best for YOU.
The food thing will be hard to start with, but arent all types of trying to lose weight???

I watched an amzing programme the other night - was Psychic Sally (dont know if you have heard of her) and she had WLS and it was going through her journey. What a difference...she was still eating normal food but just smaller quantities and oh what a difference in a couple of weeks. Have a look see if you can watch it on catch up.

Im here with you 200% whichever way you decide is best.

So... today is back to day one for me! I was really in the swing of things when I wasn't counting anything but carbs so thats what I'm going back too... since trying to watch my fat & calories as well I've been all over the place!! I was losing steadily 2-3 lbs a week whilst not even worrying about anything else.. so thats what I'm going back too...

Cream, chorizo, cheeses (anything else beginning with C :D) will all be back into my diet & I'm gonna bloomin' enjoy every morsel of it while I make some big decisions!!

Hello there Ditzee and I also think you're very brave to post this way... I think you're doing the absolute right thing in taking the CONTROL back by going into ketosis to be able to really FOCUS and THINK about what you're considering from a calm perspective. When "eating", a certain panic can take us over which could even lead us perhaps to making a wrong choice...

In ketosis, our food demons are quiet... but our brain still functions (more or less!) normally and so you'll be able to run through the pros and cons of the decision you have to make.

Your absolutely right I need to get the food under control again as I'm panicing myself that I can't do this without any intervention & tbh the only reason I've gone off track is b'coz I was trying to do it with little tweaks & we know that these ways of eating cannot be tweaked with... thats why they work so well when followed to the T!

I really appreciate you taking the time out to come & offer up yr advice.
