10st10lbs' Diary - been away for far too long!

Hiya hun,

That was me at 5:30am on thursday morning and I've been feeling psycho ever since - no jokes I could've stabbed someone an hour ago when I couldn't find my hexb co-op wholemeal pittas in the freezer. I cried in my room until my mum found them :cry:However I have been productive and I've discovered a wicked ice cream dessert:

Crumble as many alpen lights within your hexb/syn allowance into a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds top with sliced banana and then a scoop of low fat vanilla ice cream (4 syns). You can top it with melted nutella if you've got enough syns left. I've had it two days in a row and it's been keeping me on track and it reminded me of the haagen dazs parlour ;). I've also been making options hot chocolates with my milk allowance and have been sucking on a cadbury's choc eclair after meals...

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend :rolleyes: I almost wanted to cry when my sister bought Alpen bars and not Alpen LIGHT bars! That is a yum-sounding dessert, you should take pics and have it as the first post in your diary!!! I'm more a Ben & Jerry's girl than a Haagen Dazs girl, so I chuck a FF cherry Activia in the freezer for half an hour, then get one square of chocolate, break it into teeny tiny chips, and stir it in - Cherry Garcia, voila! :D

Do you feel naughty having so much chocolate even though we're allowed? I still can't get over it, and I've been doing SW just over 9 months now! xxx
 
Me too sweetie first day too ive been so grumpy and diet wise rubbish.!

tomorrow will be better for us both. x

:( :hug99: Today has started off OK, gonna go WI at Boots after a quick shower but not 100% happy about going because last night, for the first time ever, I was bloated and it was horrible. I have never felt so huge in my life. I think I looked bigger than the first pic in my weekly shots thread. No matter how hard I sucked my stomach in, there was just this big bump that wasn't going anywhere! Also, I ate breakfast today which I NEVER do on WI day... After 6 days on plan, 1 day off plan, plus a period, AND breakfast... Getting back into the 9s this week seems like a bit of a challenge :(

- 1 chocolate Weetabix (1/2 HExB1 + 1 syn) with 150ml skimmed milk (3/7 HExA1)

- Black coffee with sweetener

- 1 chocolate Weetabix (1/2 HExB1 + 1 syn) with 150ml skimmed milk (3/7 HExA1)

Dinner
- Not so bad but I don't want to count syns today. I will be good tomorrow, I promise :)

Don't stress about the 1lb as it's probably just water retention cos of * week. Try & have some speed foods and water & you'll probably have a nice loss next week :).

Just as I though my * week was coming to an end I now have ear ache & a really sore throat so I'll be on the hunt for some sugar free strepsils tomorrow as I don't want to waste too many syns on cough mixture :(.

I was gonna try quorn as I wanted to free up my HexB's to use on other things to keep my diet varied as I only do green days I tend to only use them for chicken or cereal at the moment. I probably won't have the sausages as even though I know its not pork I just can't bring myself to eat it so was thinking of trying the burgers, chicken style pieces & mince. Have you cooked with quorn before and if so how did you find it?

Yeah it does feel wierd being allowed all this chocolate but it is legal as long as we keep within our syn allowance so why not? ;) I'll defo take a pic of that dessert next time I make it & i really wanna try your low syn cherry garcia too. I usually have the fairly nuts one by ben & jerry's so I'll chop up 2 pieces of cadbury's caramel chocolate (4 syns) and some walnuts (HexB?) & mix it into a vanilla fat free yogurt before freezing it....damn girl! We sooooooooo need to start an Aisha n Alia * week desserts thread...lol!

Fingers crossed... Can I trouble you for a list of a few speed foods? I can't find my book and I can't remember any other than chicken, berries and baked beans for the life of me :( xxx

Booooooo *thumbs down* I'm sorry you're ill :( Stay wrapped up warm with a hot water bottle, and I don't know if you have the time on your hands but watch Gilmore Girls, it's usually on E4around this time or just download/watch online but seriously, it is the ultimate cure to any crappy illness! I guarantee you, you'll feel a million times better if you watch it :)

I get the Quorn products from Asda/Tesco, usually in fridged meats/frozen vegetarian section... I use it as a substitute for pretty much any meat, because I know if I'm eating lamb/chicken, it's most probably been cooked in oil, and if it's mince, I know for a fact it isn't extra lean or even lean for that matter, so I prefer Quorn... Haven't tried the mince but the burgers, chicken pieces, steak pieces and the sliced meats are OK :)

LOL! Yeah that thread would be a brilliant idea! It could even just be an indulgent SW * week pics thread! I'd probably spend my entire week drooling over the pictures, hahaha...

Have now decided I am going to start each day as EE, then take it to Red/Green/keep at EE depending on what I have for lunch, because I don't know what my food plans are for the rest of the day most times! Also, today I will be walking all the way to uni (and hopefully all the way back) for the first time in ages! That used to be my only form of body magic, and even though I only lost 0.5lb a week, it was something atleast! So fingers crossed, 5km there, 5km back, not a big deal, I've done it before, iPod charged, heels at home, flat boots safely on feet, and the sun is even out today, what a motivator!

After about a week of 20-30 sit ups every night, my body is starting to feel different... I feel like I'm getting some definition back, which is motivating me to keep up with it. But my tummy and legs don't feel so much different, I had to squeeze into my skinnies yesterday and I didn't like it one bit, but I haven't worn them for ages and all my other jeans are otherwise occupied by the washing machine, so it's either these, leggings, or plain black trousers... My legs get cold with the leggings :( and I feel like a doofus at uni with the black trousers... Wanted to invest in some gorgeously reasonably priced H&M khakis but I'm in the red till next Thurs :(

- Sharwood's medium egg noodles with lamb, onion, cabbage, carrot, green pepper, mangetout, soy sauce and kalonji seeds

Just about to add some pics of my meals this weekend... And then at the end, there's a naughty naughty picture, food porn, if you will. It's a wall at a local milkshake bar, amazing drinks and such great food! When I get to target, money permitting, I want to have one meal a week from this place, a different burger and shake each time, and behave myself for the rest of the week. If I maintain or lose, same thing next week. If I don't, I miss my treat!
