2-3 dress sizes from April - August Challenge

You've done so well too and, as hchappyh says, you've been working so hard with your exercise that you really deserve it.

Do you mind me asking something? The photos you have on your profile - are those you now or are those you when you were slimmer? The reason I ask is that you're really stunning looking and you have such a thin face. When I have my piccy taken I've still got a big round moonface! :p

You have done fantastically well. If you're approaching the 11s you must be slim now and yet you still see a fat you in photographs. I was saying this to someone at work today when they were asking me how much I'd lost - I said that it's weird that I can look in the mirror and acknowledge that my backside has shrunk and my stomach's a hell of a lot smaller etc. but yet I still feel massive. I know I look better but yet I still feel like the fat me. I do have quite a bit to shift still so I wonder if I'll feel different when I'm back down to 11 stone? I can't imagine being 11 stone again - the last time I weighed that I was about 19 :8855:


Thanks LuckyCat...it is weird though, until you are there, you can't really comprehend it and if your colleague is slim then they really have no idea at all what it's like to be fat, never mind what it's like to lose weight.

Woo hoo! Into the 13's, weighed myself this morning and I lost 3lb this week, I am now 13st 13lbs!! 20lbs to go in 12 weeks! xx

OMG! I just bought a size 14 white dress from peacocks as inspiration for me to lose weight for my holidays, but guess what... it actually fits just now! It is fine on apart from at the chest it is a bit small for my boobs! lol I am so chuffed!! xx

Hey all! well that dress I bought 2 weeks ago which was too tight around my boobs now fits nicely! Tried it on today for motivation again and is now fits nicely around my back and chest, it was a tad tight but now fits nicely! Just shows that the weight is coming off even though I don't notice it to look in the mirror I only see what I still need to lose.

I also bought a pair of short jeans for hodilays last week which I could hardly even get past my thighs! lol managed to put them on and fasten 1 button so have now hung them up for motivation when i see them I think to myself "I will fit into you!" lol

Weigh in tomorrow, hope I have done well this week! Have been to the gym 5 times this week and also my bums and tums class on wed night which I was soo paranoid at, but will still be going back this week I'm not going to let my silly head ruin my chances of fitting into my new clothes! lol xx
 
Well done you! You really have worked hard and it shows the exercise really helps.

I can tell that clothes are a real source of motivation for you :D. I suppose they are for me too although I've never been someone who's really into clothes. As long as it looks okay then that'll do me ;)

Sometimes when I'm having a fat day I remind myself that I'm now wearing my size 16 jeans from six years ago that now and again I'd dig out of the wardrobe and would attempt to get on and I couldn't even get them past my knees :8855:
 
Yeah clothes are a big motivation for me. For years I haven't been able to go for clothes that I would want to and was kinda dressing older than I felt I should have (when I was like 17 stone and size 22) I have been buying so many pretty young tops and dresses for holiday so that I can fit into them and look good.

:8855:lol at the size 16 jeans. I know how that feels. The jeans I bough last week I could not get them past my knees, it was very difficult to squeeze them on! It's kinda easier now but got so much fat to lose it's disgusting! I have 12 weeks to lose it all! I so hope I can do it 'cause the jeans are soo lovely I really want to wear them! Do you think it can be done??

My lard is still coming off but s-l-o-w-l-y and this is when it gets hard to keep motivated. I don't have a lovely holiday to Zante to act as my motivation. The only holiday I've got lined up this year is a week in Scarborough in August. Not quite a tropical paradise but hey ho :8855:
 
I hate when it gets harder to lose the weight. I stayed the same for 2 weeks which was rubbish but just plod along you'll get there. What's your weekly losses? xx

Aw yeah I am so worried about the volcanic ash come 12 weeks time! I hope it settles down or I won't be happy :(

Well technically I do still have over 3 stone to go for my goal weight lol xx
 
technically maybe - but you are doing so well.....You sound very chuffed as you should be.....It is a good feeling isn't it losing weight?

Sorry to mention the ash - it must be quite nerve racking wondering whether you'll be away or not and if you'll get back - but you've still got 12 weeks to go - hopefully the ash will have settled down and be over by then...have you spoken to the travel agents - what do they say?

It's a great feeling losing weight and seeing the changes!

We booked it on-line, well our friends did so have been trying to find out what airline we are flying with, but they're not sure lol not going to worry about it just now hopefully it will all have blown over by then!! lol :)
 
Yeah we all need to be big losers! lol I just realised I am half way to my goal weight for holiday and I have double the time to lose the same amount! :) xx

I shouldn't moan really. My problem is that for the first three months or so I lost well over a stone every month and I'm now at that stage where it's slowing down. As my friend rightly said, I've more muscle now which weighs more and less fat to actually lose.

I don't do a weekly weigh in but I'd say I'm still averaging probably two pounds a week. A couple of weeks ago I lost nothing all week but then the following week I lost a pound a day for five days. It's weird how it works really.

At least the important thing is I weigh five stones less than I did on 1st January. Plus I'm now officially overweight rather than that hideous word obese :D
 
Kirst!! Im so sorry i haven't been around for a while, soooo much going on. Ended up going away with work last week, eating at the hotel ect (god i felt so naughty!!). Anyways, i was on the edge of giving up at the weekend - felt really down and had no motivation whatsoever! Got on the scales yesterday and ive actually lost a 1lb?! How the hell that happened i will never know...so back in the game today :)

You are doing SOOO well!! Amazing - there will be nothing left of you by the time your hols roll around!! :D Well done girly xx

I will never understand how you lose really quickly at the begining and then it all slows down - it's as if we're being teased. Its easy to start off and then just as you think, I can do this, it all stops falling off! Oh well, Lucky Cat at least you are now overweight and not obese - what a good feeling that must be....
