20 somethings

I really need a new sw pack, do you know if you can get them if u sign up as an online member or if its just if u go to group? Maybe I will have to scour ebay lol

Just group i'm afraid. Think there's a free membership thing going on at the minute so it'll probably be cheaper for you to sign up to a group, even if you just go the 1 week?

Happy birthday Fran!

2lb on for me, which is fine. Trying not to remember that it was 3 weeks' work to lose those two and hoping to get them off in 2 at most! Fingers crossed your weigh in is well under a stone!

I'm so glad I have a nice potential MiL. I think she just likes having a girl around and as long as John is happy and comes to visit she's happy. I think my mum is a horrible potential MiL. She is extremely *****y about my brother's gf - who's a size 8, excellent at everything she puts her hand to (ice dancing, ballroom dancing, classical cooking, baking, piano, languages to name a few) and in her final year of her law PhD. Hélène is fiercely independent and I think my mum finds that threatening because Hélène is so much more capable than she is. I'd like to think she'd never be nasty to her face though - I think she knows she's being a bit unreasonable.

Cant really get to any groups as the only one when im not working is a tuesday early but by the time I go and then get a bus back I would be late for work :( will have to keep an eye out on ebay

Happy birthday fran! X

Aww I hope you get one Christie, it sucks there's no good times for near you. It's a ***** trying to time things to public transport. It takes forever to do anything.

Thanks Emily hun! My brother went out and got my birthday present today. We were all wondering why he was going into town, mum thought he was going to the pub. No one realised until he was saying he went to some shops, including WHSmith and then walked past with a gift bag. Mum wrote "CARD" on the shopping list on the wall (blackboard painted). "Butter, Milk, CARD" touching. Haha. And my grandma got confused and rung today (27th) to say happy birthday. Bless, she was close.

All this badness is truely out of my system for quite some time. I seem to feel constantly sick. Still picking at rubbish but looking forward to being on plan and I won't want to sway for QUITE some time.

If it goes on quick, it'll come off quick because it's not turned to fat yet, it's just fluid in the system. It takes 2 weeks for it to turn to fat. December so far I have lost half a lb (how depressing) but in November I lost 8.5lbs and this is fat stores from 10 years ago! So for this next week... well Saturday - Wednesday (unless wednesday weigh in is changed too) being fully on plan i'm hoping to lose a nice chunk. lots of fluids, 1/3rd superfree minimum, no more white bread, or butter (man the butter's been good) or crappy snacks, blurgh. Need to plan the week's meals after weigh in. I have the best birthday plans LOL! So hopefully it'll just take a short time for you to get your gain off.

Glad you have a nice potential MiL. Glad your mum is your mum and not your MiL, your poor SiL, mind if she is independent she probably won't care much what your mum thinks of her. I know my mum didn't give a crap. My mum'd be a scary MiL but I'm not planning on seeing anyone let alone marrying, my one brother is a bit of a dick, and the other doesn't want to get married, but he has a long term girlfriend. She might beat him down eventually. Mum's generally really nice to the gf and to my nieces' mum. But she can be awful, you don't want to get on the wrong side of her that's for sure! MiLs can be such a pressure on relationships!

Aw thanks Christie :)

Aww thanks guys. :) just another day really, but being naughty and I got some cards. My brother bought me a baking book :/ not particularly helpful, oh well! I'd say it is the thought that counts but he said "I know you're trying to lose weight at the moment, but they are classic recipes so when you are done you can still use it." I will just steal the hopper he got Nate (still so much fun). Mum said I can pick something when we next go to exeter. She helped Nate write a card though, which is so sweet. He kissed it for me too <3

weigh in went well. Last week was up 0.5lbs but that was due to a balancing act. Lol. It should have been 2.5lbs This week stood normal (no balancing act) and was up 5.5lbs. So 6lbs over the two weeks. Should all be gone by feb. Before I weighed my consultant asked how my Xmas was and I said good, I ate everything in sight and have felt sick the past few days. Haha. But that I didn't want to count syns and measure and restrict myself and end up resenting sw and then screwing up because I didn't enjoy myself. She said that is what happened to Jude (she lost 5 stone in 6 months) then after a controlled Xmas she resented it and piled on the lbs. She is losing weight again now, but nearly a year on she isn't back to what she was before. This makes me extra glad I let loose. My c did then say she'd had a tummy bug all Xmas and offered to give it to me. Lol! I declined. And I didn't win the prize for the biggest gain. Boo. Because I was so under my gain allowance I have got the s&v pringles, and the remainder will be sent away with my brother when he goes tomorrow! I am looking forward to getting back on plan. An old friend is rejoining again too. She told me today. This year her fiance is doing it with her. Her wedding is in September and I am hoping to be at my second interim Target by then!

Happy Birthday Fran! Glad you're happy with the gain (lol!) xx

I completely agree with the resenting it if you don't let loose. I think I would've felt like an outsider at Christmas if I hadn't been eating all the nibbles and having a drink. As it was I only had 2 glasses of wine on Christmas Day anyway, but I too have felt sick for most of Christmas with the amount of snacks I've consumed.

I had my one last bit of naughtiness today - cheesecake for breakfast! It was lemon and raspberry brulé cheesecake that we were meant to have on Christmas Day but we forgot top defrost it and it's my absolute favourite! I felt very sick afterwards though so the temptation is out of my system.

Glad your gain was well under your allowance! I think we'd all struggle to eat enough food to gain a stone in a week. Have you seen it happen before?!

Nate's kiss in the card is just too cute!

Right girlies, all back on the wagon?

Oh I'm right back on the wagon today Emily, have counted my syns, weighed my healthy extras, and put my 1/3 superfree on my plate! Its a challenge getting back on it but I don't want to ruin my hard work after getting complimented over the Christmas :) That's the only thing keeping me going, got to keep remembering that. We can do it ladies!

Although cheesecake for breakfast sounds fab :D

Back on it tomorrow :) A woman I know from another group was told by her C of a lady from her group gaining 1 stone 6lbs, which is just epic! I'd love to shake her hand. haha. I have serious eyes bigger than my belly! Nate's nap was shorter than anticipated so I will have to plan my week tonight. looking forward to it, and not feeling yicky all the time!

Glad to hear it, Ciara! I was a bit miffed that my dad's family didn't notice the 1.5 stone difference in my weight! My dad said I was wasting away yesterday which was nice to hear though.

I'm going to face the music and syn the cheesecake. I think I need to get back into food diarising!

Happy Birthday Fran!!! Hope you have a great day!!!

Well I was naughty yesterday and paid the price all last night. Ben's gran got us a massive box of M&S Belgian Chocolate Luxury biscuits and they looked so good that I had a few when ben opened the box last night, but i'm wheat intollerant and i had the WORST pain ever last night, it hurt more than it did bloody giving birth to Jack! That'll teach me to think i can get away with it! So i'm still trying to recover from that today and going to try to stick to free and super free foods these next few days until weigh in now to purge my system of the offending wheat and to try to get back on track. The thing is, we booked and paid for our honeymoon yesterday..... in Italy!!! I'm going to have to take my own wheat free pasta and brad with us when we go and i'm devastated i wont be able to have all the yummy pasta and pizza dishes. I'll just have to stick to the anti pasti whilst i'm there instead I guess :( xx

Aw sorry to hear that Sammy!

Yeah Emily I got a similar "fading away" comment haha. Some people just dont say anything when they notice lost weight, sometimes it can be a sensitive issue I think! I mostly get comments because I'm away from home for longish periods of time so don't see my friends and family for 6-8 weeks at a time anyway, and some of my friends have been gone for the year so the difference is more noticeable.

Oooh Italy Sammy, how lovely!!

ooh that's good, i didn't know! We're not staying in a hotel, we've booked a villa at lake Como and will be self catering, which will make it easier, but would be nice to go out and eat out every now and again. If they're that good about it i'll have to try to learn the italian for 'wheat free' so that i can ask for wheat free versions where possible :) Ben downloaded the rosetta stone course for us to learn some italian and we were doing it last night when jack went to bed, i hate going somewhere and not being able to even speak the basics, i feel rude, so going to try to learn a little at least before we go. We've also bought the weekend passes for the italian grand prix which will be on whilst we're there, exciting!! :) xx
