Do you have a wilkinsons near you hunny? They do a recipe book of 100 slowcooker meals in it and it's only £3. My mum bought it and the meals look lovely! If you don't want to get the book you can make easy casseroles, stews, pot roasts etcin there, just chuck in the ingredients and forget about it for a few hours, super easy, i love mine! was great for making batches of meals for jack when he first started weaning, but he just has what we have now xx

Heya Sam welcome to the thread, I don't go to group myself so these girlies are my group! I started at 12 stone 2 so very similar to you.

I would say my staples are pasta, lots of fruit and veg, muller lights, fry light (exactly all the things Ch2b said!), eggs. I also like to have baked beans, jacket potatoes, tuna in brine and cheese. Also always have whatever my brekkie is. For me thats weetabix or fruit and fibre with almond milk and bananas.

Once you get more into the plan you work out what free foods and superfree foods you like and use and you'll know better yourself what you need.

I got a slow cooker.recipe book.already, hopefully I will be avle to convert some to sw friendly versions

Scrap that ladies, just had a wonderful phone call... Thought it was going to be months til we could move in together but his brother (who we are going to be renting from) just rang to say he's got a start date of the 6th Feb, which means we should be moved in by the end of the month!!!!!!! I am so excited, I literally cannot stop smiling... No mini breaks for us!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!! Xxx

That's wonderful Laura! Yay!

Essentials dried rice, dried pasta, potatoes, fry light, fresh and frozenfruit and veg, eggs, beans, passata, mullerlight or shape 0% or activia 0% (they are all free) beetroot.... I bloody love beetroot. It is hard to say not knowing what you like

I feel I make this post at least once a week haha but I am BACK in the game.
Scales this morning showed a HORRIFIC gain...obv my next official weigh in isn't until Sunday but it was enough to kick my a$$.
I've no reason to faff about now anyway, no major plans for Jan except for a meal this Saturday for a friends birthday.

Laura that's great about the house :D and a big welcome, Sam!

Thanks everyone, I'm SO excited!!! Hope the excitement/business doesn't take it's toll on my dieting -100% January will be mine!! Xx

Welcome Sam! My essentials are fruit & veg, eggs, pasta, tinned tomatoes, beans, noodles, soy sauce chicken, extra lean mince and my spice rack! X

Oops pressed send too soon!

Laura I'm so excited for you! That's fab news x

Well I'm back in the zone FINALLY! Went to 2 different places today that do amazing homemade cakes and what did I buy? An apple. Honestly! Even resisted the millionaires shortbread which is my absolute favourite and only had 3 syns worth of low fat creme fraiche so might have a curly wurly in a bit. Feeling very virtuous!

Haven't yet decided if I'm going to weigh tomorrow...might prefer to wait till I've had a week back on plan before I brave it!

Congratulations Laura, that's brilliant news! :) xx

Jenna, I will take those scales off of you lady. Look how far you have come, you look teensy in your new picture. You know how the plan works so yeah faffing is silly, but we all do it sometimes. Why not join Laura's 100% January?

Scarlet, I'd weigh in on your usual wright day, it'll keep you on course and next week you will see the benefit of a 100% week. This weigh week was 5 days for me, 3 100% days, 2 off plan (one spectacularly so) and it would have been so easy to skip weigh in until it had been a full week, but it would have thrown me off course. And I ended up with a nice surprise!

Laura, I said I was aiming for a 100% January at group, because of you :p and my c said she wished more of her members would do that. Heehee. She made a really good point that other group members should think about to keep on track. New members will be joining in the next couple of weeks, and their weightloss will be flying, so to keep yourself motivated, keep on plan, so you don't feel left behind by the new guys and girls.

I know, Fran, I need to pipe down as lots of people said to me on NYE that I looked a lot better but I decided to eat my weight on NYE and Day so now I'm feeling ming-a-ling but as you say, I know it works...it's just having the patience to wait for the scales to catch up.
Anyone any nice plans for this upcoming weekend?

Ahh Fran that's fab, we can do it!!! I've 7.5 syns left for the day so when I FINALLY finish the school work I gave myself the target of finishing today I'm going to treat myself to a Ferraro or two...it's lovely to be back to chocs being a treat rather than seeing how many I can ram down in one sitting haha!

Jenna you look brilliant, you have the figure of my dreams!!! Xxx

Yeah I know you're right fran , just scared! I was 2lbs up last weigh in, I'd guess I'm at least double that now.. Massive well done for your 1lb off, think I'd need some sort of witchcraft intervention for that to happen to me tomorrow!

As for this weekend Jenna, I think there was talk of us going out for a curry for a friends birthday, but not sure we will go. We are both trying to not drink till our holiday, or at least very minimal drinking, and going out wont help that! If we do ill make sensible choices and just stick to diet coke then give the pub a miss after!

Sounds nice Scarlett, I'm the same out for a friends birthday and much to the disgust of other friends I'm not going out after but it's because I've been given another teaching post for 4 weeks starting from Monday so need to spend Sunday doing prep work and can't handle being tired or hungover. It didn't go down well though :S

Jenna I'll be trying on wedding dresses this weekend!!! :D Sooooooooo excited! Hope I don't feel all bloated and gross on the day cause I want to feel pretty when I try them on, going to pamper myself on Friday night so i'm looking my best Saturday :) xx
