Thanks autumn and upndown for your lovely words - I do try to be a great mum (I had a terrible childhood so want my own girls to be happy and secure which they def are ) yes it's so important not to have a negative attitude around food and kids - girls are SO impressionable. We never mention diets around them. The words fat and ugly are just absolute no go words in our home. Luckily the 3 of them are very healthy and may it continue !
I think we def should have a Valentines contingency !! I just tried on dresses in the shop and a 12 fitted ! I'm so happy about that ! It's a fitted pinstriped pinafore style and I love it! I have a job interview next week it's for that. X

thats true about them being impressionable-i thought it was just girls that we had to worry about, but i remember a few years ago, my other halfs nephew wouldn't eat very much and wouldn't even wear a coat because he thought it made him look fat-he was 5 or 6 at the time. So sad-my other halfs family would be quite big so they must have been talking about it a lot and not thinking he would be taking it on board.
edited to add-congrats on the dress! love when things like that happen, its great! i have two pairs of jeans in particular in my wardrobe that i always try to get into-theres loads that dont fit, but i bought these two pairs in 2005 when i first started weighwatchers-both size eight-one pair i got to fit me for about a year, and the other pair fitted me for a few weeks-have to get back into them!
Wow - I can only dream about size 8! But it's great to have a goal! I have loads of 10s and 12s in store begging to get out!!
Snap! I could never be a size 8, I'm naturally busty, and the ******* seem to grow in cup size whenever I diet! lol I have a few bin bags full of size 10/12 stuff from when I lost all the weight years bag waiting for me in the loft. Really want to get it out again. Have got all my size 14 I had stored out now though as other than a few pairs of slightly tighter trousers I can get in it all again..woohoo! Was in 18's last year!
Yup! Was scary when I had to buy 18's as biggest I had ever been before then was a 16. It's what prompted me to diet. Oddly enough I haven't quite lost 2st yet so not sure why dress size went down so fast lol Just wish the damn chest would follow suit instead of seemingly growing each time I lose weight. Creates a right shopping nightmare lol
Isn't it horrible when you have to give in and get a bigger size? It's def a wake up call. I remember when I first started dieting I thought it was just the shop I was in was running smaller sizes, but no, I was just in denial about the weight I'd put on lol.
Shopping is just a nightmare because shops don't realise people of the same size can be totally different shapes. My waist is quite narrow but I'm very hippy and have got chunky calves so jeans can be a nightmare to buy!
100% agree - I'm a definite pear shape - and sometimes have to sew a pleat on the back seam going from waistband to hip on jeans/trousers - cos even when I'm wearing the tightest belt they'd fall down - & can't wear a smaller size cos my bum's to big!! Hoping it'll be easier to find jeans to fit when I'm at target (whenever that may be!)
Oooo it's bloody annoying isn't it!
Have you an idea of when you'd like to be at target or are you just going with the flow?
