There is a definite ease of eating when meals are planned. That said I just made a gazpacho soup for tomorrow's lunch and it's disgusting! Will have to try and grab a healthy option from Pret.

Think I may have blown any loss this week after last night lol, so much for losing my taste for wine... not really sure how much I drank but it must have been near on 2 bottles, I still feel hungover now and the buffet was far too tempting.... as were the cakes... oh well, cant stop life because of the diet but I probably could of made a few better choices last night.
Thanks Loulou. I'd already lost a good amount - 17lb before I started on this thread so my weight loss has really slowed down now. I've only about 16 to get to goal now so REALLY hope to be there by July - fingers crossed !
Right, here is updated list with mine. I have 49lb's to lose...wah!

I agree, I just find it soooo hard to sit down and think of things that will be quick and filling and in plan, I find it so boring and even after looking through threads in here I end up being at a loss as to what to have. Also I'm a crap cook which doesn't help lol.
I know these are just excuses and I really need a kick up the backside to just get on with it or my losses will definitely suffer!
Sorry your soup wasn't nice, I hate when that happens!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Both - I know exactly what u mean - esp the bit about not being a good cook! But recently - after being on Minis a while and reading everyone's posts - I noticed that busy ppl eg: full time workers, ppl working shifts, working away from home, working Mums etc were planning their meals/shopping and making quick, simple but interesting & healthy SW friendly meals (whilst I putting in little effort & having boring meals so I cd save all my syns for sugary stuff - mostly choc LOL!)
So I decided to pinch some of their ideas eg: like using some syns to make more interesting stuff - and I was amazed to find:
A:I cd cook them
B: that they satisfied my appetite more than my previous efforts
C: I was fuller after meals and craving less for sugar (altho' still love sweets & choc!)
D: that the planning and cooking didn't take half as much time as I thought it wd - well worth it - but know I'll never be a good cook!!
I'm still as food focussed as before unfortunately - my hubby says I live to eat - whilst he eats to live!!
If u'd like me to post some quick & easy recipes - just let me know - I've got them all in a little file - perhaps there's hope I'll be a domestic goddess one day after all LOL!!
hiya-if you could post some recipes that would be lovely! i don't want to stray off plan because of my own lack of imagination lol.
being very sensible today, having an extra easy day, had a smoothie for breakfast with lots of spinach in, chicken and ham salad with sweet chilli sauce for lunch and salmon, rice and veg with more chilli sauce for dinner-spending syns on flavours etc definitely keeps things more interesting and like you i don't find myself looking for the sweet stuff as much
well done KMD and lmn on your losses!!
sorry to hear some of you are struggling, i'm sure we can all relate, i haven't had the best few weeks myself but luckily losses haven't been horrific but i want to get the finger out before they start turning into gains and i go wild

The easiest, nicest recipe I know is this one http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/175664-mushy-pea-curry.html (hope posting that link is ok as it's here?!) there's 2 recipes on this link - I've only used the one with less ingredients and added chicken to it - it does sounds yucky but if really is lovely - I've made it for fussy friends and children but didn't tell them what was in it - it seems v popular round here - hubby's not into 'diet food' but loves this too!
This chilli is really easy and tasty too - makes enough for 6 - so u can reduce the ingredients or freeze portions.
Chilli Con Carne - serves 6
1 large onion diced, 2 garlic cloves crushed (or use garlic powder to suit ur taste), 450 extra lean minced beef or Quorn, 1 beef stock cube, 1 red pepper sliced, 1 small red chilli or dried chilli/chilli powder to taste, 400g tin tomatoes, 400g kidney beans, 300ml passata, 1 tbsp. tomato puree, S&P,
Spray frypan with frylight and fry onion & garlic clove (if using) until soft. Add the mince/quorn and continue to cooking until mince/quorn is browned. Sprinkle stock cube then add the red pepper, chilli or chilli powder, and dried garlic (if using), tomatoes, kidney beans, passata, and tomato puree. Simmer gently for 25 mins until the sauce has thickened and the beef (if using) is tender. Season to taste.
Will have a think and post more when I get a chance.
