2016..Ever Hopeful!

Hi (waves) hope you are well. I can so relate to the not going out joining in etc. That is exactly how I get! I know its because I am self conscious when I put on weight. Well done for going :) xxxx

Thanks Jackie.. It's hard enough being an OAP with all the aches and pains that go with it but being very overweight makes for being much more self conscious.

Quite a good night which is great and I'm feeling much more like getting back on track again even tho' the scales show a 3lb gain.. perhaps tomorrow's WI it'll have gone down just a twee bit!

Started off so well and got to this evening when my back became very painful which meant a quick bit of something for my meal and as I had made a delicious quiche yesterday I had a piece of that.. all well and good apart from the fact that it wasn't a planned part of my carbs and calories which threw things out again.

I had intended to have one of the rainbow trout with some veg but having made some veg soup this afternoon it took longer than I had anticipated and that was why my back became so painful.. all my good work seems to have taken a turn for the worse.

I did log my soup making etc. as "exercise" but even then it's a mournful outcome..

An extra 189 Cals still leaves the day at 1339 which I suppose is not terribly horrendous

I really need to take control of my eating but more to the point.. these depressive states that I descend into on the slightest hitch. Planned all my days menus so I'll start again with new vigour!!

Today was very good I am pleased to say.. and didn't have any thoughts of straying off the beaten track. Did have one biscuit this afternoon so I could take my tabs which did put carbs a little bit over the 100 but altogether nothing too much.

Finished off the veg soup I made and had a portion for a snack and it was delicious.. at least I got that right!..and Rainbow trout for this evening.. very delish too!

How do you cook your rainbow trout fillet? Do you wrap it in foil and add any herbs etc with it.

I strayed over the weekend with too much fruit so I am paying the price for it today. Glad it's raining as I don't think I can leave the house.

I keep meaning to make quiche. Think I will do it end of the week.:)

Are you still looking for a new place?

I do put it in foil and smear it with mayonnaise and also put over it a few drops of lemon juice.. I'm not good with using herbs etc. altho' I have a lot of herbs and spices which I've gathered over the years but in the process of gradually getting rid of them.. and really most are too old anyway.
I made the quiche because I had practically a whole tub of double cream that had gone a bit sour and it does make super quiches.

I am still looking for somewhere Mary but very slowly.. I know it's for the best and I will benefit from having more company one way or another.. but the effort needed is putting me off.

RABBIT RABBIT

Down a 1.4lbs today .. hopefully I'll be back to where I was by next week so I can start to loose proper.

Looked awful outside this morning but then it got out really nice and I was very surprised at how mild it was.

Took a few items to the charity shop.. went to bank for some cash and then to Tesco for petrol and groceries.. they didn't have any unleaded and then I couldn't remember what groceries it was that I specifically had wanted so that was a waste of time.

No wandering down the sweetie aisle or the icecream aisle either.. in fact today has been a very good one!

Everything good today!
Couple of times I woke up during the night when my back pain was excruciating so I was very pleased this morning when I woke that it wasn't too bad at all.

Home help came but she still wasn't feeling 100% and after doing all the main things she went home early.. I was very pleased that she managed to come at all.

A couple of very heavy snow falls this afternoon but it hasn't laid .. wonder what it will do over night?
