3 or 4 packs a day..

Hi everyone,

Simple question and sorry if it's been asked before or it's on the slim & save site but I can't find it on there so I must be half asleep!

On 4 packs a day - what else are you allowed? Is there a milk allowance?

I'm torn between 3 packs a day or 4 packs a day, but I NEED that milk allowance for coffee to keep me sane! So if it's not allowed on 4 packs then I'll stick to 3.

Thanks!

you can have 150ml of skimmed milk and 200g of certain veg on both 3 or 4 a day plan.
If you on 3 a day you add 100g of protein as well.

I have used my breakfast shake as coffee whitener this morning and it was lovely and creamy. I don't normally have breakfast so used a vanilla shake in this way instead. Two teaspoons make a lovely creamy coffee, had 2 mugs so far and looks like enough is left for another one :D I added a small amount of cold water and mixed it to remove lumps first. That is breakfast sorted for this week, hoping the banana one tastes as good in coffee too :bliss:

Sounds lush! I'm gonna have to try that :)

Quick note - I have 12 Cambridge shakes from a previous stint on Cambridge back in may, will I be okay to use these until they're gone?

The easiest way to mix VLCDs is to do a day of one and then a day of another - especially as CD is 3 packs a day but SnS is 4. Please make sure that if you are doing the SnS 3 packs a day version that you are having your 100g of protein in addition - this is not optional as you need the protein to ensure that you don't get muscle wastage.

I'm following the 4 packs a day, so to use my cd shakes how would I do it? The calorie content of the cd shakes are about the same as SnS, so would I have 3 or 4 on a cd day? I'm officially on SnS so would I have 4 cd shakes? Confused!

You could have a complete CD day (so 3 shakes) and then a compllete SnS day. Alternatively you could substitute the CD packs for SnS ones at some points - but if you do that make sure that you don't go above around 60g of carbs a day and then you'll stay in ketosis.

There's 14g of carbs in the Cambridge shakes & 12g in the SnS.. So I should be ok with 4 cd shakes a day shouldn't I? That totals 56g carbs, and I only have 12 left so it'll only be 3 days worth.. But I was considering like having an SnS porridge, Cambridge shake, SnS meal pack & then another Cambridge shake - would that be okay?

The SnS packs vary hugely in the amount of carbs they have in them. I'd just add it up for the particular packs I wanted in a day. You should be ok with up to 70g a day but personally I prefer to keep it at 60g.

For example, the SnS oatmeal only has 8g of carbs but the silver packet spaghetti bolognaise has 20g of carbs.
