50+ Reasons To Lose Weight - For Those Low Moments

To see the look on the boyfriend's face when he see's me back to the size I was when we fell in love! And to regain the confidence i had before i got fat...

He used to make me feel so special with the way his eyes were when he looked at me... He still makes me feel special, but we both know its just not the same!xx

This bought tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat! I could have written this! x
 
I love this thread! It helps to just go over the reasons when you feel a bit low!

my reasons!

to be able to shop wherever I want!
to walk past my ex and his jaw hit the floor when he realises that I am finally back to being the "me" I was ten years ago when I met him before I got stuck in a miserable, horrible waste of time relationship that became so difficult to get out of! and know that he lost something special!

To be the best version of me
For my fiance to look at me when he comes home from working away and be proud
To fit into them size ten jeans!
To stop feeling so sluggish
To wear heels without my weight making it ridiculosly painful!

Just wrote this list up, and for those who are feeling a bit on a downer, it did me a lot of good to think of these things so I hope it does good for people to read!!!

In no particular order...

  1. Make OH Proud
  2. Make family proud
  3. Feel better in sleeveless tops
  4. Be able to sit in public in comfort
  5. Look brilliant in swimwear
  6. Fit into designer clothing
  7. Look better in pictures
  8. Get the right sort of attention
  9. Move attention from flab to figure
  10. Live healthier life
  11. Be able to run for charity events
  12. Increase compliments
  13. Increase chances of successful surgey (medical or cosmetic)
  14. Wear a wider style range of clothing (not just what fits)
  15. Show up skinny friends from school
  16. Get in and out of the car easier
  17. Look great in a tight dress
  18. Be able to swim in public and not care
  19. Reduce chances of getting bigger
  20. Not feel awkward when clothes shopping
  21. Increase chances of shops having your size in store
  22. Walk along a beach on holiday and feel proud of your body in swimwear
  23. Stop jiggling!
  24. Don't feel pitied when at the gym
  25. Like your own reflection
  26. The smaller you are, the cheaper it is to get drunk lol
  27. Walk up hills and not want to sit down half way up it
  28. Sunbath in public
  29. Buy lingerie without getting weird looks
  30. When people start talking about weight loss, not to feel like they mean you
  31. Make friends/family jealous that you are doing something about your weight, not just talking about it
  32. Be happy to be photographed
  33. Wear a bra that actually fits
  34. Show off legs, not monstor ham thighs
  35. Don't fear onset of summer clothing
  36. Don't think mean things when you see thin people
  37. No one will ask when your baby is due, when you arn't pregnant
  38. Look lean, mean and powerful!
  39. Say weight out loud with pride
  40. Don't have to worry about arthritis or joint replacements when older
  41. Help other overweight people who are in the same situation you where
  42. Don't wonder if people are saying "Why is HE with HER?"
  43. Can boat out to the middle of a lake and swim, knowing you can pull yourself back in the boat and not tip it over
  44. Go out in public and not care what looks you get
  45. Wear a low cut sweater and show your collerbones
  46. Wear a tight blouse or sweater and now have dents where bra straps are
  47. Wear shorts in the summer
  48. Never have to look at someone with envy
  49. Increase feelings of self worth
  50. GET ON WITH LIFE AND ENJOY IT!!!

Not have my bra leave red painful welts in my back every day.
 
Have my pants fit me properly, not roll down under my stomach when I walk.
 
Reverse the upward trend on the scales, not feel powerless to stop it.
 
Not feel like the largest person in the group, every time I'm in a group.
 
Well ive finally got around to sharing my reasons that i not only want but need to lose weight with you all :) sorry if i repeat any that has already been written on here ...

- To actually go out to family meals and special occasions and stop making excuses just because im embarrassed of my size.
- To prove to everyone that i can actually be the slim person i know i am inside.
- To make my other half really proud of the person he's with.
- To not feel embarrassed if i see any of my other half's friends.
- To go and visit my other half's family more, as i don't very often now due to my size.
- To stop covering up in baggy tops and leggings!
- To not feel embarrassed and the odd one out when im with my sisters, as there both size 10!
- To be able to walk for more than 5 minutes and not be sweating and puffed out.
- To be able to shop in river island and republic and know that they will have my size.
- To look forward to the summer instead of dreading it due to being so fat.
- To visit family members i haven't seen for a while before it's too late.
- To just get dressed in the first thing i see and know it will look good!
- To get in and out the car without being so flipping paranoid by how much it moves!
- To get on and off a bus without worrying what people are thinking.
- To go to a theme park and know 100% that i will have no problem fitting in ANY of the rides.
- To be able to go to a restaurant or a cafe and not get paranoid about people looking at what im eating.
- To not have flipping back fat, i hate it!!
- To STOP the stretch marks, i already have loads due to pregnancy and i don't want any more.
- To actually have my photo taken with my daughter before she grows up as right now i only have 2 of us together and she's 2 year and 3 months old!
- To be able to wear dresses/shorts/skirts in summer and know i look good and not like im 40 weeks pregnant.
- To weigh less than my other half, he's nearly 12 stone!
- To be able to sit on his lap and for him to pick me up again without worrying im going to hurt him.
- To go back to me being on top during sex without thinking ''can he breath''.

and the very very very main one

- TO KNOW MY LITTLE GIRL WILL NOT GROW UP WITHOUT HER MUMMY - scares me more than i have ever been when i think about it.

Ive also read alot of stuff on different websites that says with my weight and height , im putting myself at a serious risk of stroke, high blood pressure, heart problems and even death! - im 20 years old with a 2 year old daughter, i shouldn't be worrying about dying or having a stroke at my age, i should be concentrating on raising my little girl and giving her the best life she can possibly have. xx

To have my wedding ring fit properly again - not have it constricting my finger and need soap to get it off.
 
Great list and a good way to start the day thinking about positive things to change! :)
 
1) To be healthy and reduce my risk of obesity-related diseases
2) To help reduce my health anxiety as a result of the above reason
3) To get married knowing I am as healthy as possible and therefore committing to my marriage 100% and for as long as I live (which hopefully should be longer due to weight loss!)
4) To increase chances of conceiving
5) To increase chances of a healthy pregnancy
6) To have more energy to run around after the little one/s!
7) To be able to wear what I want
8) To be able to look good in what I wear!
9) To be able to stand and walk for longer without my feet hurting
10) To not cringe every time I see a picture of myself!
11) Hopefully it'll result in me needing less sleep and therefore being able to be more productive!
12) To lose more weight than an unpleasant ex-friend (we're allowed to have our selfish reasons too, right?!)
13) To stop the comments from rude family members
14) To buy nice lingerie
15) To not be a 'fat bride'!
16) To be able to swan around in whatever I want on my honeymoon!
17) To have the energy to take part in more activities
18) To stop thinking I can't be happy without carbs!
19) To no longer get heat rash in the summer!
20) To see my collarbones!
21) To get rid of my double chin
22) To be able to wear something other than leggings and long tops/dresses.
23) To be able to wear high heels
24) To never hear the words, "you've got such a pretty face" again!
25) To reduce other ailments such as IBS and horrible dry feet
26) To stop being asked when I'm due!
27) To see myself slim for the first time in my life.
28) To look in the mirror and be satisfied
29) To go to a spa and not feel like a beached whale compared to everyone else
30) To be able to wear sleeveless tops (if I'm not left with bingo wings!)
31) To be able to find bras that fit!
32) To have knickers what fit around my hips and no horrible overhang of stomach!
33) To not look like a Renault Megane from behind!
34) To be able to get to the point where toning will make a real difference.
35) To be able to put the table fully down on the aeroplane without my stomach getting in the way.
36) To be able to clothes shop in a variety of stores
37) To look amazing in white linen trousers
38) To not feel like you're being judged when talking to a thin person.
39) People not insisting you sit in the front passenger seat when you are travelling with 4 other people in a 5 seater!
40) To not struggle getting out of the back of a 2 door car.
41) To have the famous 'thigh gap'!
42) To be able to sit on fiancé's lap without being conscious about squashing him!
43) To feel light and be able to move easier
44) Being able to focus on things other than losing weight
45) To not worry about how you are going to get back up after sitting on the floor.
46) To not be nervous about getting on the scales.
47) No longer deliberately growing my nails so my fingers look slimmer!
48) To not have to worry about what the nurse will say on my annual mini-pill review
49) To have a smaller, younger-looking face
50) To feel proud of myself for completing the biggest achievement of my life :)
