You get it at pre-training

I've just returned from days 3 & 4. All people seemed to be asking each other was "did you fast track". I didn't and I followed the 7 prong attack to the letter. It was really demoralising. I currently have 18 members. Only 13 of which came back. My group is a brand new evening group. Finding it ao difficult to cope with my 40 hour a week full time job and this. I'm permenantly like a zombie :S

Well done for your success so far - it must be demoralising when listening to others but at least you're doing your very best!
Do you have a lot of other groups in your area? Is this why you numbers haven't increased?
Must be hard work alongside a full time job - I feel for you xxx

^^^^^^
exactly! When I was on 3&4 we were all asked how many members we had at our last group.
Also, when people who didn't fast track were asked what they didn't do, it was a bit if a shock as SW do maintain that if you do all prongs, you will fast track!!!

Did you feel immense pressure then? Hope they supported you through xx

Me? I did fast track and I didn't have an editorial nor a community activity or 50 posters..... Not for the want of trying, the paper wouldn't publish and there are not many shops who will take posters!
I truly believe it's all a matter of timing.

You have no idea how much I cried at home- out of the way of all the fluffiness and happiness of slimming world. Then I pulled myself together, but because I "failed" the attack I have to do it all again. There are three other groups in the area, but on a different day and time. I have a very demanding professional career outside of this all. Makes me so upset knowing I booked all the time off work to do the promotion for nothing...

I made £5.75 on my first night. I know it'll take time to develop, but bloody hell I am so sapped of energy and spend all of my free time on it- neglecting my fiance and house. It's soul destroying...

Oh queenmab I am sorry
I bet that is soooo hard putting in that energy only to find you have to do it all again. I hope you got lots of help!!
Thank you for your honesty xz

I can imagine that running a Slimming world business online top of a demanding full time job is extremely tiring and stressful. It's not something I'd consider attempting and I think it shows courage.
I was invited to an opportunity event this weekend coming but I declined and asked if I could attend the one after (whenever that may be). I'm still in two minds about doing it. I'm not at target yet and I have bipolar disorder which means that sometimes challenges seem do-able and exciting and other times daunting and unmanageable.
I've not worked for 18 months and need something in my life to give me a purpose and rebuild my confidence.

I too couldn't imagine doing the role with a full time job. I went to an ops event a couple of years ago when I was working full time in a very stressful demanding job. I then had a baby at the end of last year and decided now was the time to be a mummy and take on the challenge of SW! So I've resigned and got through my SW interview and go for training beginning of November.
For me, the time is now right!
I worry about 'failing' despite my best efforts so not looking forward to that criticism if that we're to be the case. I'm not being negative now, just realistic.
I too am not at target but a lot happier than I was after childbirth - 1.5 stone lighter - and am unsure of my target weight - I'm just keeping going regardless if the numbers in the scales - just want to get to a stage where a smaller clothes size are comfortable & I look even better!!
Does that make sense?
Anyway dinner to cook - will be back later xxx

After a short break, my C is now back to trying to convince me to go for consultant myself :) There are a couple of groups up for grabs in the area with one being about 20-25 minutes drive away (single session) and the other being 30-35 minutes drive away (double session - I think that's the right terminology) but I'm not sure about taking on groups that are so far away. Could be a pain in the backside when it comes to promoting/leafleting etc? Anyone on here have groups that far away? How do you find it?

Queenmab,
I really do understand how you're feeling.
Look at new ways of promoting rather than every thing you've just done. Ask your members to bring friends and family. What kind of area is your group in? Supermarkets nearby? Schools? leaflets in bookbags?
Any big companies? Write a letter promoting 5 friends join for a fiver. Stuff you can fit around f/t job x

Good morning happy people
Bit misty out there today!
How's it all going? Xx

Good morning, i went to my relaunch group last night and stayed for both sessions. It has helped me realize i have made the right decision amd im alot happier now about the way forward. I have also got my consultant code and am very impressed with the our world website. I sat a couple of my exams yesterday, they do test your knowledge but you have your books to refer to. Really looking forward to my training at HO now next weekend.

That's such good news Alice
Pleased for you
I met another 'about to be' consultant at my group yesterday - she is lovely and may be on same training as you! She opens at beginning of November
My pre- training mtg is mid October but I'm meeting my TD this Friday xxx
