i know. loads of people on saturday said 'ooh, next time we see you you'll have the baby' when they were saying goodbye as we're all going to the same wedding in august. i just thought AAAAAAAAARGH don't say that!! terrifying!! ha.
which reminds me. i need to look at accomodation for that...
Aww hun you have my every sympathy. I was told it usually goes away within a month of the birth but talking to my friend yesterday she was saying she still hurts now and her little boy is 2!
aargh. don't tell me that!! ha. i'm going with 'it will magically disappear when i have had the baby and lost weight', ha. although my back problems will remain. but i'll be able to take painkillers again... well, after a year when i'm done breastfeeding :S
seven seven weeks to go... i've always worked full time though so i have no idea what i'm going to do. the plan is that's when i'll go into a cleaning frenzy and sterilise the house
people on the pregnancy forum i'm on that are due in may are already going on mat leave. waaargh!!
I still had pain and telltale signs of spd around the time of the month. That was 7 years after my last delivery. Otherwise I managed fine, everyone is different, so hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones that it just goes away for. Take pleasure from knowing that there is no way it could be worse after the birth.
have just been to the hospital for my anti-d. i'd heard so many horror stories about it being painful and i have no idea why. they just stuck a canular (sp?) in me and took two lots of blood out of it and then put the anti-d in using that. my arm is more sore than from a normal blood test but no worries there.
unfortunately they did the 'if you don't hear from us everything is fine' line. which i hate. because so many things have been lost in the post where we are. and they tend to let you know by mail... but i suppose i see my midwife in three weeks and the results should be on my file by then, so no worries. it's mainly my iron levels i want to know about!!
I'm sure you'll have plenty of last minute bits and pieces to get ready for your princess so I wouldn't worry about being bored on your mat leave! Lots of rest and doing your own thing too, there won't be too much opportunity for that afterwards!
Hope everything's OK with your bloods, glad the anti-D wasn't too bad.
Any plans for the weekend? x
well i'm working today, so sorry i haven't been around the last couple of days. have been attempting to catch up on sleep and get some jobs done.
tried to sweep the kitchen floor yesterday and it nearly killed me. i don't intend on doing that for a while!! i just don't bend any more!! ha. but got the kitchen and the bathroom looking fairly good. just want OH to clear all the crap out of the living room and then we can look at the baby's room as there isn't much time left!!
yes. forgot to mention, ha. am joining slimming world on monday. woohoo. ha. me and a friend are off to class. so that's fabulous doubt i'll actually lose (although it wouldn't do either me nor bump any harm, i have a lot extra, ha) but at least it will hopefully slow the landslide weight gain i've had since july!! and yes. i know some of it is baby and water and extra blood etc, but i highly doubt that 5 and a half stones of it is!! ha. am hoping once i've had the baby i won't be back to my heaviest, as i'm currently over that at the moment, but i figured the quicker i get started the less i'll have to go post-birth.
Hey Abi (and bump!) glad your taking it easier, there will be houses and muck when we're all kicking up the daisies, so don't make yourself sore for the sake of kitchen floors (easier said than done i know) but i bet your OH likes being needed.
Oooh SW huh? keep posting with how your doing, wasn't there a link here about a lady who lost stones when pg with SW? encouraging and your right, even if it curbs anymore gain.
Awww Abi! That's a great idea and I hope slimming world goes well for you.
And yes, definitely get hubby to do the cleaning for you, every bit of help goes a long way.
well am off to a class tonight at 7. so will report back tomorrow with the happenings am really looking forward to it. i'm not expecting to be able to stick with it 100 percent of the time. after all, i've had sudden 'needs' for certain bad foods, ha. but i will be eating far more healthily and far less crap. so it can only help i don't want to go into it with the attitude that i won't stick to it. of course i will do my best. but i don't want to end up with that horrid 'diet guilt' if i suddenly crave something and have it either. so we'll see how we go. hopefully i'll be able to stick to it 100 percent, ha.
Had to get OH to take my left sock off me last night as i couldn't lift my left leg due to hip pain. had to laugh. felt ridiculous!!
oh. and can anyone else balance a cuppa on their bump yet? i can't. and i'm most disappointed. i was really looking forward to that!! ha.
Good luck tonight Abz. My friend is 30 weeks and can balance a glass on her bump! I just use mine as an extra hand when folding washing lol.
Hope your hip pain is a bit easier today x
Hi abz i too am joining SW tonight at 7! Quite looking forward to it really but like you said i am not convinced I can stick to it 100% as i too will NEED choc from time to time lol. Good luck with the next few weeks and also with sw x
hi guys well. i'm all joined up didn't need to get signed off by the midwife. but am not advised as to whether i should gain, maintain or lose. me and my midwife need to discuss that between us if i want to set targets. i get two extra healthy extra options. woohoo. which means i could eat 18 laughing cow extra light triangles in a day if i wanted to :S ha. obviously i can't imagine doing so, but it has highlighted that perhaps i should be more vigilant about calcium. ha. if nothing else this will definately give my eating habits a healthy kick.
weighed in at 17st 1lb because i'll be gaining baby weight i have no idea whether or not this will decrease at all, or go up or what!! but ideally i would like to be lighter than this by the time the baby gets here, so will have gained baby weight but lost flab if that makes sense? but maintaining would be fine i suppose
am so unbelievably tired. not sure i got more than an hour or two of sleep. just couldn't get comfy. my hips and back giving me problems. and then just lying awake or drifting in and out of a crappy doze. when i did sleep my dreams were awful and woke me up. OH woke me up a couple of times... i'm at work but not sure how long i'll make it. i feel unbelievably sick as well as tired but we'll see how i go...
