Accountability is key!!

Day 180
Happy Friday everyone! It’s been a good day today my eldest had his Christmas school disco (I got no information as he never tells me anything it’s like getting blood out of a stone!) but he said it was good which means it was great in his language(!)
I have a new favourite bar but as ever this may change but got some salted caramel bars that expire October 2022 and they are lovely hopefully will get this batch next time 🤣.
I am having a works Christmas do of sorts but it’s going to be very restrained as it’s a meal the other side of where I live and it’s in a Monday evening so it will be me driving so definitely not alcohol and probably home by 10 as it’s work the day after! Will be nice to see people just hoping it isn’t cancelled given current circumstances it seems to be going back again which I suppose I expected but just a bit like not again!
 
Day 181 & 182
Combining my days today as I got distracted by present wrapping last night!! I love getting the presents for people but wrapping I just am terrible at and really find it boring!! My friend is amazing at wrapping with all the lovely ribbons and that I can wrap fine but just stick bows in that already adhesive!
Anyhow a Christmassy day to took my two boys to a breakfast with Santa which they both enjoyed. The eldest doesn’t miss a trick he said as we walked away that was a pretend Santa I saw his beard wasn’t real. I covered by saying it’s the time of year Santa is absolutely flat out busy so needs to send ‘envoys’ to cover some duties but he was heading back to the North Pole to tell him what he had said 😳. Think he believed me I always just had blind faith it was Santa as a kid so not sure what that says about me haha!
I have had a loss albeit a small one but I am pleased as it’s my time of the month (maybe explains that headache earlier in the week not sure) 0.4lb but do want to say it’s 0.5lb but all the same as long as it goes down slow or not I am happy!
 
Day 183
Not too bad of a Monday it was slightly flat within our work team today but think the whole thing that is going on at the moment around the potential lockdown etc isn’t helping but maybe it’s just Monday!
I had the Thai noodle pot and a Irish cream shake which was nice and had finished my water by about 2pm but do drink fizzy water (as my treat!) after that! Hoping to keep on the momentum this week but getting excited for Christmas!
 
Day 184
Not much to cover today haha I had the sweet and sour noodles and the cinnamon swirl shake and the orange layered bar today which was nice. Work is gearing up for the leave times and it’s getting workload covered but hopefully it will tail off briefly over Christmas! I am in a few days so fingers crossed 😂
 
Day 185
Still plugging away and getting excited for Christmas although as per comedic timing I think my youngest may have the dreaded pox(chicken pox!) poor kid can’t catch a break at the moment but hopefully it’s better for him to have it young. I got chicken pox aged 11 and still have the scars from on my forehead.
Last of presents wrapped today and I also got myself my first full length mirror that’s not on my wardrobe so I can see how I look in outfits (sounds incredibly vain doesn’t it feel daft!) for years I avoided full length mirrors so trying to embrace them! Haven’t looked As such yet but it’s a step forward for me!
 
Day 186
Yep full blown chicken pox for Christmas for my youngest hopefully it will be through him by then but he is covered poor lad! It’s been a busy one as had different errands and a dentists appointment with my eldest (youngest couldn’t go so had to stay home with daddy) . It was good to go as it’s been over a year since I went and thankfully all ok and he did great having his teeth checked!
I have bought some of those slims cracker breads from b &m and they are not too bad to use as a base for stuff like tuna! Can’t believe how near to Christmas we are now!

Hope your son recovers quickly from chickenpox. I got chickenpox when I was 25. I felt dreadful and I was on Menorca the Spanish island. I had to isolate in the room. The staff were brilliant bend over backwards. I had clean towels and sheets daily. Room service. But I felt so poorly so I feel for your little mite.
 
Day 187
Friday! One week till Christmas Eve! So excited and looking forward to the break(sort of break it’s lovely watching my kids which is what is lovely!)
Good day today I had a stock up delivery arrive today for the Christmas period so am relieved I won’t run short! I hope everyone has a lovely weekend my youngest is a bit emotional and fed up which is to be expected his rash/chicken spots are in full flow now.
 
Day 189
Lovely day today took my eldest to see Santa which he loved they had organised it and put a lot of effort in which was magical for me to see him so excited!!
I have also put my Christmas plan into place I am having Christmas Day and possibly Boxing Day but am drawing the line at chocolate as it really is my kryptonite I can’t resist it and one day of eating it is never enough I will just want more and it will stretch into the next day. Before I know it will be February and all my progress will be undone and I will be devastated (sounds dramatic but I will!) so Christmas Day is a day off food wise and Boxing Day but back to it by the 27th. I am getting weighed tomorrow and don’t intend to weigh myself Boxing Day as it’s pointless! Hoping for a good result but not stressing over it fingers crossed it’s good but who knows what the scales say!! 🤣
 
Day 190
Good loss today and the scales were kind with 3lbs off so very happy with that! I now won’t be weighing until 2 weeks today as want to enjoy the Christmas Day without thinking hope it’s not bad tomorrow as I am eating normally! Keeping on plan right up to Christmas Day as I know my history around this time of year where it’s like oh it’s Christmas will start in the new year which inevitably drags into the end of January and lots of weight gained. So being strict with myself as mentally and physically I feel so much better than I did at the beginning of June so want to keep that feeling. My approach probably isn’t the way lots of people are taking as know in a large group for Exante dieters on a well
Known social media page(!) many are having a couple of weeks break to re start in the new year and that works best for them. Anyhow happy with the result today and feeling excited for Christmas I hope everyone else is too. My youngest is rallying now still not himself but hopefully will be through the worst of the chicken pox by Christmas day poor lad.
 
Day 191
Not too bad of a Monday although our Christmas meal was cancelled due to gets over omnicron. I was up for going and everyone else but the organiser wasn’t so cancelled it!! It suited me ok as o hadn’t planned on eating the meal just wanted to socialise a bit so bit disappointing but there are worse things!! Good day today I am trying these slims cracker breads which are handy for using as a vessel for stuff like tuna or prawns or and egg even! Looking forward to Christmas and I might wear a nice dress for the day rather than my stick leggings that I have done for the past ten years or so but making no promises as my two boys will be beyond excited so will be thankful if I manage to get a shower and a hairbrush through my hair haha! Hope everyone is prepared for Christmas!!

Day 192
Good day today and my last day till after Christmas tomorrow! I went back to the beginning of my diary today and it was interesting to read. The sadness I felt covered over with a bravado I really did not feel and I feel I am closing the year in a lot better state mentally and physically that I was 6 months ago which is a huge relief to me.
Have talked about this before but this diary really is a big help to me just to write a days summary and check myself in so to speak. If someone had told me this time last year I would get through and lose weight again I would have been pessimistic about my chances which isn’t to say I’m home and dry I won’t ever be but that knowledge is what I need to ensure I don’t let myself get to the weight I started at again. Must be a bit reflective here sorry but just starting to take stock of things in general in my head by writing on here 😂
 
Reflective is good. You've been brilliantly consistent. Here's to starting 2022 right - and embedding new habits so you finish 2022 at 10 stone, @Bertie81
 
Day 193
Good day today and finished for the Christmas till next Wednesday! Off on a little trip out with my two tomorrow which will be nice and he is a lot better nearly
Back to himself! Had a salted caramel shake today and they are nice I forgot how nice as it’s so cold I am preferring the warm ‘meals’ to also like the shakes so mixing it up a lot!
 
Day 194
Nice day today but confusing as my husband is off too so kept thinking it was Saturday rather than Thursday! My eldest is bouncing off the walls with excitement 🤣. Good day on the plan looking forward to the ‘mini break’ in a few days and will check in quick tomorrow so I get my head in the right space to prepare to eat ‘real food’ haha! Hope everyone has an amazing Christmas!!
 
Day 198
Quick check in today as in the lull between Christmas and New year! Had Christmas Day which was lovely but couldn’t eat as much as I thought due to stomach shrinkage I am thinking 😂and did feel really out of my comfort zone have been on it again since Boxing Day but a bit relaxed however back to 100% tomorrow it’s been a lovely Christmas though and I hope everyone else has had a lovely one too!!
 
Day 199
In the mid Christmas/New year no man’s land lull but took them both to a soft play today which was nice. Feeling focused and looking forward to beginning a new year in a lot better way than I was last year. I am working tomorrow so hopefully it will be alright!
 
You've done so well this year @Bertie81. I look forward to seeing your success in 2022 at getting to your goal and maintaining.
