On an impulsive whim I just popped out to H&B and bought a revolting small tub of powder, strawberry flavour - 0nly 0.78g of carbs per helping. It will do for the short term until the Atkins Vanilla shake arrives - hopefully I'm meeting a friend for Atkins friendly lunch before trying to get to the dentist - I feel I'm procrastinating about it! lol
Well done Di, after all the years of trying did you think just 4 months ago you would be 3 stone lighter now? Cos that's what you've done and I for one am very impressed!
Now get yourself to that dentist lol xx
You're absolutely right Lisa and I'm as chuffed as punch about how it's all going! Particularly over the last few days when I'm starting to feel more nimble/agile and sprightly! Lol
I've never been an inspiration before and I feel a bit of a fraud this time cos it's not really me doing all this determination and focus - it's my goddamn arthritic knees! I have never had anything before that's helped me do anything like dieting for longer than a day - so, although I am down about them I am also grateful in a weird warped way! Lol
Well today is Hammersmith day... Am completely unprepared for brekkie - don't even have any powder shakes with me as I left them in the other office... So it's a tin of tuna for brekkie and I've got 2 sachets of miso soup - I might put the tuna into one of the soups! Sounds odd lol ... Well... The Japznese have miso for breakfast ! Lol
Meeting a friend for a local lunch so that should be something Atkins friendly...
Tonight another Canadian friend is staying - the partner of the one I have with me at the moment... I think we're going someplace local in kings cross - hopefully Caminos - Spanish tapas - but it's so popular it can be hard to find a seat.
The Canadian is sorting out my scales today - replacing battery first to see if it's that - it's got one of those flat, hard to find ones... But I think he's desperate to weigh himself as he's obsessed with weight - as I've said his waist is weeny - about a 30" or maybe 28"! Lol bless ...
Have a 9.30am flight tomorrow to Belfast ... Looking forward to getting away for a break ...
You are far too kind Susie! I just can't imagine myself as one of them! Lol
Thanks Katie! Can't wait to get home - and looking forward to seeing my 2 canadian gay boys for supper tonight... They're actually english but now they live in Toronto I don't see them too often!
Just popping on while I pack the final bits... I swear I'm going nuts! Spent hours last night looking for passport and just can't find it - so I think I'll be ok with my driving licence! According to the stuff I found on line ... Am freaking out as they might turn me away !!! I'm such an idiot ... It's been in the same place for years - and now it's not there!
And the Canadian with an obsession about weighing hasn't found the right battery yet so I can't do a final weigh before I go! So annoying! Lol
Stress levels high ... And not got to the seat belt extender part yet... Or the 3 day trek to the Aer Lingus gate number 1,465 at Heathrow T1! Lol
Will post 'on the other side'! If they let me fly!
Just had a quick one egg omelette and creamy coffee so I could take some nurofen ( guess who didn't manage to get to dentist!) lol
There must be a forgetting/losing passports bug associated with minis - when we had finished loading the car at beginning of the summer and all set to drive off to france camping - i remembered that we needed euros. What should i find sitting in the safe with the euros? Our passports of course - had completely forgotten we needed them
Almost as bad, we got in the taxi to go to the airport this summer and I opened my bag to check for passports and realised I'd left my purse on the kitchen table! Just as well he hadn't started driving, my purse had the taxi money in it
