Amy's "kick up the bum" diary!

Haha! Love it!!

Well done Amy!! What a fab loss! You sounded like you were feeling positive about it and your efforts have well and truly paid off!! Wow I didn't realise you were a zumba instructer!! I've still yet to try it out- it's getting to a class that's the problem for me a) working shifts (I already request Mon evenings off for SW!) and b) living out in the sticks 1/2 hr away from any civilisation!! I may get a DVD although I'm sure it wouldn't be anywhere near as fun because I do like being with other people- that's the fun bit! Here's to another great week ahead!! Welcome back to the 11s by the way!!X

Hi Heather!

Yea I did my Zumba training last week. Starting my own class after Easter - I can't wait!

And thanks for the welcome back into the 11's club - it's good to be back!!

xx

Hi Amy, hope all's OK with you!! Thought I'd let you know I'm going to my first ever Zumba class tomorrow!! Looking forward to it but nervous as don't want to make a pillock out of myself getting the moves wrong and running to grab my water every 5 mins!!! I gained 1.5lb this week so down in the dumps! But it's *week and I'm pretty certain it's down to that as I've been in the zone food wise!! Hope you're having a good week XXXXXXX

Hi everyone!

Sorry I have been absent from here for a while. I have been ill this week and only just back to work today.

Foodwise has been a bit bad as survived on Tomato soup and chocolate!

Think I will go to WI tonight to find out the damage but not worry too much as I have not been on plan but then again not really eaten loads either.

Starting to feel a bit better now so starting on plan again today.

Hi Amy, sorry you have been poorly, but sounds like you're on the mend now?! How did WI go for you tonight hun? Thanks for your very kind words on my diary!! Yes it's been a bit of a strange month or so- 2 very young friends passing away within 1 month is a bit crazy to say the least!! The first Louise (44) I've worked with 10 years and she died of lung cancer, never smoked in her life and she was diagnosed 2 years before she passed away. The most recent, Natalie (35!) was someone I grew up with, her sister is my best friend and they were extremely close, 1 year apart in age and thick as thieves! Natalie had health problems all her life, suffered with a condition called Marfans disease which affects the connective tissue in the body. She had numerous ops on her spine and a big heart operation years ago. She also had a hip replacement a few years back and also had a pacemaker. We don't yet know how she died but she was found dead in her bed looking very relaxed and at peace so it looks like there was no pain or struggle (thankfully)! The awful tragedy, as if that's not enough in itself is that they lost their Mum from the same disease only last June so we've been through this before so recently! I have been with Nancy and her dad for 2 days and it's been heartbreaking seeing them grieve and really not knowing what to say or do to make it better!! There's nothing one can say in these situations but it's an awful feeling...and I've been very affected by it myself as she's been a big part of my life too! People are very supportive though! And food is strangely one thing that I can try and stay in control of, trivial though it may seem in the circumstances, but sometimes it's the little everyday things that keep us going!X

OOh hi Amy - where is your Zumba class going to be? :) xxx

Just sorting out final details with a primary school in Smethwick. It's right near my slimming world group and the ladies have been begging me to start a class for ages! Aiming to start on 3rd May - watch this space!!

I didn't make WI in the end. Think I might have pushed myself back to work too soon and was done in my 5pm and took myself off home to rest. Scales at home say I have STS which is probably about right as I haven't eaten much but what I have eaten hasn't been on plan (Loads of Heinz creamy tomato soup and bread! Plus chocolate and haribo!)

And I am so pleased that you are able to stay in control with all that is going on for you at the moment. You are such an inspiration to stay strong in these circumstances. More hugs coming your way!

xx

Hey all - I am back.

Had pretty much 4 weeks off plan - I was Ill for 2 weeks, In italy with work for a week and then a week of being rubbish and not getting back on track!

So here I am with a chunky gain - back in the 12's and having to pick myself up again.

However glad I went to group last night and stayed as some of the ladies were really supportive and got the positive juices flowing again!

So yesterday was my first 100% day and will have another one today - who knows I might get rid of most of this gain next week! (Fingers crossed)

Hope everyone is good!!

Amy

xx

Well done for nipping it in the bud! Diary looking good this week! Must buy some more of those shanks! OMG just realised how hungry I am right now! Now get back and join me in the 11s! U can do it! X

Might take me a couple of weeks Hev! Will do my best but you might be in the 10's by then!

Can't believe how quickly the weight just goes back on. Eek!

Like you said though at least i've stopped now before it's too late. These things happen and it's how you deal with it afterwards that will make the difference in the long run.

I dunno about that!! I seem to have been doing an awful lot of dillydallying for the past 3-4 months and not making much progress!! A big gain over Christmas and then again in January just as I was getting the Christmas one off slowed things right down for me but overall I'm now still basically the lowest I've been overall so at least I know I can maintain at this weight, the problem is I don't want to be 'this weight' I want to be 10.5lb lighter lol!! Oh well, we will chip away Amy and we will get there!!XXX
