Hi Amy, sorry you have been poorly, but sounds like you're on the mend now?! How did WI go for you tonight hun? Thanks for your very kind words on my diary!! Yes it's been a bit of a strange month or so- 2 very young friends passing away within 1 month is a bit crazy to say the least!! The first Louise (44) I've worked with 10 years and she died of lung cancer, never smoked in her life and she was diagnosed 2 years before she passed away. The most recent, Natalie (35!) was someone I grew up with, her sister is my best friend and they were extremely close, 1 year apart in age and thick as thieves! Natalie had health problems all her life, suffered with a condition called Marfans disease which affects the connective tissue in the body. She had numerous ops on her spine and a big heart operation years ago. She also had a hip replacement a few years back and also had a pacemaker. We don't yet know how she died but she was found dead in her bed looking very relaxed and at peace so it looks like there was no pain or struggle (thankfully)! The awful tragedy, as if that's not enough in itself is that they lost their Mum from the same disease only last June so we've been through this before so recently! I have been with Nancy and her dad for 2 days and it's been heartbreaking seeing them grieve and really not knowing what to say or do to make it better!! There's nothing one can say in these situations but it's an awful feeling...and I've been very affected by it myself as she's been a big part of my life too! People are very supportive though! And food is strangely one thing that I can try and stay in control of, trivial though it may seem in the circumstances, but sometimes it's the little everyday things that keep us going!X
