My toddler came over to me this morning, gave me a kiss & a cuddle & for the first time ever he said "I love you". I could have cired it was soooo sweet & sooooo lovely What a wonderful Christmas present for me
Things here have been great fun! It's a real treat having my sister & her family over from America. It's the first time they have met my toddler. All the children are having great fun playing together & it's been a treat to see
We've been making more Christmas things today, mostly snowmen out of paper plates, lots of glue etc. It's all very festive here
:dancing_snowman:
I'm not quite 100% after the bug, I had to go & lie down for an hour this morning as I suddenly felt exhausted. I'm going to have a nap when my toddler does this afternoon to try & catch up on some sleep.
Food is going well, I'm going over my points but not by much
Thanks everyone. I am having a really good day, the kind you wish you could bottle & bring out again when needed. I've not done much, just lots of Christmas crafts & some housework, laundry etc but it's been fun none the less
My sister is over from Texas. They used to live in New York but moved about a year ago now. I've not been to Texas yet, too expensive now we have 2 children but I did visit New York a few times She has lived in America for 20 years now, married an American & has 2 children, both teenagers.
we have been watching 'worlds greatest motorbike journeys' (hubby a biker) a sereis where this chap rode from new york down to the tip of the florida keys, has whet our appetite to visit but who knows how or when
I have friends from Texas although they live in Georgia at the moment. Haven't seen them for far too long! I used to live in Montana as my ex is American. I do miss America sometimes although I love the life I have at the moment.
I know what you mean about having days you wish you could bottle. Today has been a bit like that for me too; very simple but lovely and makes you forget some of the stressful stuff for a while.
It's been another really wonderful day. The children are all getting on really well & are rather excited about Christmas. My toddler is soooooo excited it's adorable
All the presents are wrapped & under the tree ready for the morning (todder is in bed asleep).
I've not counted points today & wont be again until the weekend but am trying to not go too crazy.
I hope you all have a really wonderful Christmas. The friendship & support you have given me has been second to none, thank you
What a wonderful day we had yesterday! It all went really well although my toddler did wake me up at 4.50 saying 'Christmas mummy!' I managed ignore him for an hour as he curled up next to me in bed & just kept saying the same thing over & over & asking me to wake up, but then he pulled the duvet off me so up we all got :8855:
The children loved their presents. We went to the cemetery to leave some flowers for some loved ones we lost this year & then straight to my parents where my sisters & their families have been staying. There were 12 of us there & it was great fun. We opened more presents, all managed to sit round the table for dinner, had a walk in the forest in the afternoon & then relaxed/talked/played the rest of the day away
