I got spiked last night and it was awful, i collapsed and then the next thing i know i wake up in hospital 5 hours later, apparently i was frothing at the mouth and my body went into shock, girls never leave your drink unattended :( good thing i had my friends with me, god knows what could of happened. X

Oh no, how awful! What the hell is wrong with someone that they'd do that??
Hope you're ok. Do you know what you were spiked with?

Sorry to hear that Pink - yes ive been spiked so has my daughter (twice), I had had 2 ciders, told my sister i felt funny and was going outside for some fresh air, the next thing I knew i was sitting on the ground with some guy trying to help me up, I could hear people passing taking the pi$$ thinking I was mortal but id not had enough to drink to be in that state.

The bouncers on the door wouldnt let the guy into the club to go look for my sis, and they wouldnt put a tannoy out, so the guy who helped me, saw me into a taxi, i cant remember getting home, paying the driver, nothing - its a blank. The taxi driver could have done anything to me and id never have known.

My daughter was in Turkey with her BF at the time and she ended up in hospital, she was kicking and spitting at the doctors and nurses, she cant remember a thing. The 2nd time she was out in town, her friends knew there was something wrong as she was hyper in the taxi Q dancing etc, I never heard her come into the house, the next morning I had to ring NHS direct as she didnt know who i was and her eyes were rolling into her head as if she were having a fit. They told me to keep a close eye on her and lay her on her side, it was pointless taking her to hosp as they wouldnt know what to test for.

Why do these idiots do it - it costs them money to buy the stuff, they dont see the harm/damage they do!! what do they get out of it arghhhhh

A few years ago I went to Spain to stay with a friend, we had a few drinks and I felt fine then suddenly I could hardly walk, talk or move, two guys had carry me back to her place!
It scared the life out of me as knew something dodgy must of happened to me. Whenever I drink I certainly know when enough is enough, but it was weird, one minute i was chatting and having a laugh then the next I felt like I had collapsed & just kept vomiting everywhere.

I really hope you are feeling ok today Hun, the best thing I've done since is only buy bottled drinks and I walk around the bars with my thumb in the end of it so no one can drop anything into it. xxx

I haven't but my brother has, everyone thinks of spiking as a thing that happens to girls but it does happen to blokes as well, my boyfriend was spiked at uni but it was ''friends'' who did it thinking they'd give him a good night, my brother it was more recent, I'd stopped at my mums that night because me and mum were going out together and it would be cheaper to get a taxi back to hers, my brother went out with his dad and didn't actually want to go as he is training for an American life guard course, but because his dad wanted to see him he decided he'd have a couple. The next morning my mums partner found him on the kitchen floor, she thought he'd just got too drunk and gone to sleep there, but he'd only had a couple of beers and didn't remember coming home or anything. His side and shoulder were really painful so we think he just passed out in the kitchen, he's lucky he didn't choke in his own sick to be honest. He was really ill for a couple of days after.

Good God this is terrible, lucky you had friends there to help. My mum had her drink spiked with easty one time, why do people do this, it is beyond sick!

I've had it done once a long time ago. very scary. I was out for a family drink in a pub in Aylesbury on a Sunday lunchtime (not our area). Just shows that it's not limited to clubs. My OH thinks people do it because they've got a weird sense of humour and it gives them a bit of a power trip. What a sad and dangerous game to play!

There's been a rise in it in Cambridge recently and a few of my friends have been victims. Blokes as well - although I've heard that blokes who've been spiked seem to be more likely to have their wallets / phones etc stolen as part of the experience.

Hope you're okay. I know I felt really nervy and paranoid for a while afterwards.
