Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Brilliant news annie. Bet your super excited!!

Good for you Donna the Santa run sounds great tho I would be wearing a light weight outfit lol

See Kim this is the tweaking I find myself doing tho last night I sort of wish I hadn't. Rather than have two slices bread I kept the cals for a ripple....bad or what!!!
Am not feeling bad about it as such, just that am going to up the ante on the treadmill tonight cos of it. God I have missed the gym. Going the three days am at work this week. So tired past few days that I need a buzz. Happy Monday ladies x

Mmm, not sure I would 'tweak' that much as the bread is fiber & dont really thing Galaxy Ripples have any fiber in them.....tuttut! Think that is called cheating lol! x

I know..that's why I feel bad ha ha don't ever want to feel bad about food tho so am building a bridge and gettin over it. Think cos I lost 2lb this week and am rubbish at losing normally that I am scared to even think about weighing in case I am disappointed. Know this is crazy but finding myself gettin caught up in it all again. Need step back and relax!!

As I said befor dont let food control you!
I can see what you've done tho, coz if you read a post I wrote yesterday about substituting other foods for your Hex's & syns & used the same calories, surely its the same as you're eating the same amount of calories! But it doesn't work like that, as SW are trying to educate healthy eating & they're right. Im sure tho, once in a while it wont hurt.
I think tho Deb, you have to do one thing or the other, as thats why you're starting to feel like that again. Its almost as tho you're in the Twighlight Zone! It depends whether you can be disciplined enough to just eat healthily & exercise & hope the weight comes off, or you would be better with the structure of SW. Personally, I need the structure or I think 'oh, that little cake wont matter'......yes it does, so I would rather do without. How desperately do you want to lose weight? It all up to you, we're here for advice & support & I know how I feel as I see the pounds oozing away, albeit slowly! xx

Don't get me wrong I am loving being on track and when I look over my daily food I suppose its more of a healthy diet with excercise. This seems to suit me better to be honest but at the same time I know its better to eat Asda pitta bread instead of another supermarket make, except co op, that I am better using fry light, to limit my cheese intake, to make sure my portion sizes suit me, to eat fruit as a snack. GUess I have taken a lot of sw on board which is good. I will continue with what I am doing and when the pounds do not come off I will then start looking at being more sw disciplined...thanks Kim

Good for you Deb as SW does seem to have a habit of becoming ingrained into our brains!
Even when I put on these extra pounds over the summer, it would have been a lot worse if I hadn't kept to the SW principles a lot of the time. The motorway food & going out for 3 course meals didn't help, but I was careful in between times, so I dont think it ever leaves you! x

Grrrr frustration hit its peak with the midwife!!!!

My first appointment isn't until I'm 11 weeks and she is refusing to scan me! So I have to wait until 14 weeks!! I've tried my hardest to get one, spoke to antenatal at hospital and even though she was lovely she still didn't want scan until we get back off holiday!!

So I've booked a private one. £60 but at least it will put my mind at ease.

Xxx

I thought you had decided not to get scan and wait? Sorry if that wasn't the final outcome. It is rather frustrating waiting on first scan. I know I was impatient too. I was also about 14 weeks. Some ladies I know have had early scans due to spotting or cramping. Am not always so sure that it was true but they got scanned. Am not sayin I would do or you would but lots of folk don't want to wait and some get scanned sooner.
Do you just want to make sure everything is ok before you fly out?

I wasn't going to have one because I thought I'd wait until I return from holiday but I just can't settle myself and get as excited as the rest of the family until I'm sure everything is ok. I don't mind spending £60 for some reassurance and be able to fly knowing its ok. Then when we return from holiday it will only be a couple of days until our nhs one when we will be 14 weeks. I'm just a nervous wreck right now and the fact it's my OH's sis' 30th birthday and party on Saturday and I'd love to have something to show all 50 of the family members because they all live all over the country x

I think they will only scan at this early stage if you've had any problems such as bleeding or pain. So, they will normally do your first scan to combine it with the nuchal scan which is done between 11 weeks - 13 weeks + 6 days. In my cynical opinion its all about money Nikki & if you're showing no signs of pregnancy problems, they will just wait til they can do the combination scans & get it all done in a oner!
At least you have the option to pay & it will give you a correct due date....they may have to do it vaginally tho, so be prepared! x

You should do it to put your mind at rest. Do you think when the time comes you will find out babys sex?

I had read that! Eughh!! Even though it does say that it's mainly between 6-8 weeks they have to so it vaginally and I'm 9Weeks 5days so fingers crossed..... Maybe ill wear a skirt just in case!!!

I definitely agree about it all being about money, when I was in hospital having X-rays and chest scans the other week I was so frustrated that the ultrasound was across the corridor and when they said I was ok they didn't think about checking if everything was ok with the pregnancy.

X

Certainly going to find out. I need to be prepared! Haha. Even though when we went out with my mum and dad on Saturday my dad kept saying we shouldn't and if we do I don't think he will want to know! X

Try some exercise as that always curtails my appetite!
I noticed in this months SW mag, that Tesco veggie cup a soup is only 0.5 syns..... that might do it.
Drink some fluids as hunger can be mistaken for thirst or..........
