Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Basically I am no further forward in dropping the greedy hat. I am like a hungry hippo except i am not even hungry when doing it. Star week and over eating has taken its toll. Funny cos I remember writing this same post last Monday. I need to climb out of the rut.
What do you guys do at night? I find myself relaxing with book or if its telly too, I feel I need to eat junk...yes I don't but I need to break the cycle. I know once I break it I will be on my merry way. Low syn chocolate and treats won't help me this time as I can't stop at one....the battle of the junk has begun ;)

Would you feel better with a high syn treat? When I'm watching TV I eat loads, I save my syns and try to save a HEB so that I can have some treats, sometimes it'll be a couple of low syn things but a lot of the time its a bar of chocolate like a picnic or whatever I have in. Then for my HEB I'll have a kellogs chewie delight or ryvita mini's. Then I'll have fruit and on ee or red crabsticks, if I'm really hungry I'll make myself chips. I also have rice pudding with fruit quite often on an evening
 
Maybe you need to go cold turkey Deb & avoid the chocs completely if you cant stop at one! Avoid having them in the house which might be hard with others in the house tho i suppose. Only you can do it, but before you know it your holiday will be here & can you imagine how you'll feel if you're not happy with your figure by then coz you let the choccie monster get the better of you!
My only advice would be to possibly eat more during the day so you're not pekish in the evening & have a big evening meal so you're too ful to want chocolate. I still think you need the structure of SW Deb so maybe you need to go to a class so you can get the new books & start afresh & follow SW to the letter x

Hi all..hope you don't mind me joining as after my first full week of sw I've WI this morning and gone from the 10s to the high 9's and am looking forward to slimming down towards the 8s! :)

No, I did it a couple of years ago with my mum and went to group each week, but I didnt find it as motivational as I expected. I lost about a stone and then went travelling where (due to all the walking around etc) I lost another half a stone but since I've been home some of its crept on again. I discovered minis just after Xmas and it inspired me to join and start SW again from home. It's only been a week but its been invaluable so far...so much knowledge and support! :D Xxx
 
So the hunger pangs didn't go away last night. And it took me ages to try and sleep with them :( lol I'm 3/4lb up today. So go figures lol not fair. Oh well
 
Thanks ladies. I think I forget that you can actually eat free foods and stick to my three meals per day and going by what your saying Donna I don't eat enough. I think It's just habit to be honest, times when I do it "just for". I had got out that situation for a while so know It's achievable.
Ok so today I have had an apple. I am planning on a muller with pineapple just shortly. Lunch is 50/50 bread with ham cheese and pickle so that's not very sw..tho the cheese is light and I have 30g on my sandwich. I have spag bol tonight for dinner. My weigh in is a Friday, do I do sw today and don't use syns since weekend was so bad or will I syn the bread today then keep syns to 5 til weigh in day?
Think I will go cold turkey Kim and will try do green or red days so I can have my healthy extra and will use my cereal bar as my "treat". Thanks ladies, I know it sounds confusing but if I can break the cycle I know I will be ok.
Will have look at lunch ideas on red days. I just want it all...which I can't have so I need to man up!!
 
I have a massive appetite Deb and I think that's why I get on so well with slimming world, I don't feel like I'm missing out (well not most of the time, I do have my moments where I really want things I shouldn't have)

Thinking I might switch my syns around a bit today actually, was planning on having chocolate philli (6) and a chocolate orange tiffin (7.5 syns) but with all this snow I might have to have a lovely gingerbread latte (2 syns for my syrup) and might even stretch to a amaretto coffee later on (4.5 syns)

Also love Aldi Benefit bars and can have 2 as hex b. the choc orange ones are yummy. I usually have scrambled eggs for breakfast with brown bread. I do red days so have 2 hex! Eat meat and loads veg for dinner. Use fruit and yogurt for snacks. Have soup for lunch with some brown bread (either syn the brown bread or the benefit bars).
I love chocolate so have few squares of dark chocolate to satisfy any cravings.

Now when I write it down it doesn't seem like so much!
 
Oh dear, Im poorly again with the same thing I had last month.....pharyngitis/laryngitis bug! Its very coincidental that its happened both times after looking after a little boy & his Mum said he had a chest infection just after I saw him last month & then I see him again last week & have no voice again & cant breathe! So thats a shift cancelled for tonight which I lose a lot of money by not doing, but I cant pass my bugs onto immuno-compromised patients can I, even tho they pass their bugs onto me!

Still dont think you're eating enough Deb! Why not try having some porridge or eggs for breakfast as they will fill you up for longer x

Donna, it's the 70 calories ones that are HEB ones. Very high in fibre 5.3g each.

Kim hope you feel better soon. Mormally i would have cereal for breakfast. Cornflakes as i dont like much cereal...porridge ok at times. Thinking back i used to snack on cold meat pickles beetroot etc. Would also eat much more too.
 
can't decide whether to go running club or not tomorrow :/ roads are going to be icy and I have to drive on some country lanes to get there, its also late (starts at 7, driving back around half 8/9 usually) so I might do the training tomorrow morning on my own, wondering whether I could get away with doing it inside... steps aren't quite the same as a hill though are they....

would also have to try and squeeze my crosstrainer in as well, just because I always do it on a Tuesday and don't want to be missing out on it until I've upped my miles
