Baby Charlie has arrived so lets get on with shedding the rest of this wobble!!!

I came in for packing tips and ending up TRIPPING OVER YOUR ELEVEN STONE STICKER.

E L E V E N S T O N E :bunnydance:
ello lovely *shhhhh Im having another break* :p

Packing tips -oooh you are in the right place..Im becoming an organisational whizz :p

here we go..
  • when you are packing -write on the box on every side -you can bet if you write it on 1 side THAT will be the side facing the wall
  • if you have time list everything in each box -even if its only "top drawer of dressing table" etc
  • when you pack keep one set of bedding, jim jams, a towel, smellies in a box and hang onto it for dear life -so you can get clean and fresh without rummaging
  • ooh ooh I never let anything go in our bedroom apart from the bed, mini TV/dvd to start with then I make the bed up and get the TV set first thing and then shut the room so nowt else goes in -that way when you have had enough for the night you have a haven from all the bloody boxes:D
  • ooooh pack your kettle/toaster a plate/mug/bowl and a bit of cutlery along with a carton of long life milk, teabags, coffee etc and guard it with your life .. even chuck a couple of fibre plus bars etc in so you can have something on plan to keep you going
  • If you are driving yourself then I would also make a big ole casserole in advance and even if you freeze it you can nuke it when you are unpacking -then you take that and your cuppa up to your lovely calm bedroom when you have had enough

It will be odd for me this time as usually me n hubby travel together -this time I should be leaving before the removals pick up our stuff so I can decorate the other house -but I have penciled in my brother (who lives across the road) to put up my curtain poles and build my bed..ooh and plumb in the washer -I haven't told him yet though :p

Are you moving on your own or are you sharing? oooh very exciting....

Thanks for the casserole tip! Was going to buy eat smart ready meals *smack smack*

Moving on Saturday! 6am :D
With my friend - we've just got a house together.
High ho, high ho, it's off to bonny Scotland we go! :bunnydance:

woohoo ladies..

slack Alice reporting in :p -been busy busy busy -well what I mean is "still" busy busy busy .... I thought I would do another quick pop in whilst I have 10 mins :D

We managed to get rid of some clag the other day :happy036:
3 bin liners to the fabric recycling bins, 2 to the glass bank and as much as possible wedged in teh restmull bin that was emptied yesterday *ahhhh* tis lovely to get rid of it instead of keep moving it from place to place as it gets in my way :p

Hubby has a golf competition today/tomorrow -so plenty of space for me to make some more headway, and then he gets to shift the heavys boxes when he gets in :sign0151:
Today Im carrying on with our bedroom -which means wading through all the irritating bids n bobs in my dressing table :patback: - but Im determined not to drag the clutter to another address ;)

Anyhoo -my "meal plan" such as it is for today is probably RED and "should" look like this:-

  • 1 grapefruit
    [*]2 apples
  • sausage casserole (5)
    [*]227g potato (B)
    [*]carrots
    [*]71g peas (B)
  • frozen berries
  • coconut n pineappple quark
  • 500ml semi (2xA)

Im not very hungry right now so the sausages n onions will be for dinner late on tonight when hubby gets back,
I know its not the best meal plan but hey ho -it will do for today :p.

Im not expecting anything major tomorrow -butwe will see, I know I haven't over eaten -but I possibly haven't eaten enough at the right times

Ela ine -good luck with the move Mrs

right I guess I should get back to it -although I have promised myself that at 4pm Im going to stop, put the casserole on, have a bath and chill out for the evening :D

have a lovely afternoon all!!

Hello lovely lady :)

:chores016: Just dropping by to see how you are while I'm back home after another week of doggie sitting for BIL.......and I'm worn out just reading about your week of yet more humpin n dumpin  Are you sure its only your house you are packing up....and you haven't accidently broken through the walls into next door :rotflmao: x x

Glad to see I'm not the only one thats had an urge to get a big pan of trumpy soup on the cooker either :giggle:;) The weather up at BIL's has been '2 coats colder' (as we say here in yorkshire) even though its not far away its right up on the moors so it may as well be in the flipping arctic!!! so that DynoRod soup has gone down a treat :D not so sure MrD has been best pleased - what with me AND the dogs having thunder issues :rotflmao::whistle:

right time to go catch up on some chores I suppose :sigh:

keep on being the superstar that you are :girlpower: x x

oooh ello

Just popping in before I get off to my bed -so it will be a quick one :D

1lb off for me this week -not great but I really need to get my focus back -think It all the test, upheaval mesing me up -Im sooooo tired but just can't sleep very well at all, you'd think all this packing would be knocking me out like a good un..but NO :sigh:
Hubby is the same and he said he knows it because we are both worrying -strange thing is that usually when Im stressed I can hardly stay awake -my body seems to shut down and I sleep loads -not this time.... Im going to bed and Im awake by about 2am

Got lots more done today -I have even made my oven look almost new again :D and washed down doors, paintwork..Im trying to do the deep clean so if I do leave hubby here to march out on his own he will only have to freshen everything up -well thats the plan anyway :cross:

Tomorrow I fully intend to get right back on track with my eating as I feel like cack -me think too many greend days this week

Smoffi -I get the quark ready done -Im really going to miss it when we move back as you can get ones with herbs in and then I get peach n maraccus, strawberry, strawb and banana, black currant and pineapple and coconut...

Dizzy my lovely even Im begining to think that I am working my way up the street packing everyones stuff  - you know its bad when there are 2 of you and you have 5 boxes of various glasses :8855:
Do you know -the trumpy soup doesn't seem to have much effect on me now  and if I do get gusty -now I have medical proof that I have "bowel problems" :8855:
Hope you are well ..
Right thats me for now.. Im off to my bed...pleasssse let me sleep :D
Have a good night all....

I suppose, given that physical reactions to stress are very hormone related and your body (and therefore hormone balance) has changed so much that it's not so strange that your reactions have changed a wee bit? Not fun being an insomniac though (I tended just to get up and do some more packing, the last time, so I ended up tiring myself out even more and then sleeping, but that may well not work for you).

A pound off is a pound off and still a good result (especially given that cortisol makes people hold on to weight!) - WELL DONE.

Good luck this week!

Hi Capricorn, well done on your loss this week:) you continue to be a great inspiration to me, 11 st shiny! Amazing!!

Hi Capricorn,
I have finally found your dairy and am happily reading from page 1 ...loving all your ideas and anecdotes, you are awesome...I see we have lost a similar amount of weight, but I still have 8+ st to go, so I will be following your pages with great interest for some time to come.
You're recipes are fabulous and have already given me some great new ideas ...and I'm only on page 9 lol...well done on your loss ..I will be back from time to time to continue catching up xx

ooooh bad bad me... I have been missing for a whole week :copon:

Been so busy that I just never seemed to find time, by the time I had finished what I was doing I have almost been asleep on my feet :4635:

Anyway -as of today I will make a concerted effort to appear daily -even if only briefly :D

Well then -first things first.. I managed a STS this week -which is an absolute miracle after some of the food items I have been assulted by this week...... including ..get ready for this :-
  • a pork pie
  • 2 packets of crisps
  • a kit kat
  • a boost bar
  • jagerschnitzel with:-
  • fries -with super duper full fat mayo -courtesy of the take away
  • ooh and a rather large home made rhubarb crumble with :-
  • a suitably large carton of extra thick double cream
Anyway -I have somehow got away with it..although I can only assume that all the humpin n dumpin has counter acted it *phewwww*
SO I have now superglued my ass back onto the wagon and here is todays red meal plan:-
  • 2 wwetabix (B)
    [*]250ml semi (A)
    [*]1tsp sugar
    (1)
  • 2 apples
    [*]roast beef
    [*]grapefruit
  • lamb casserole (1)
    [*]227g potato (B)
    [*]carrots
    [*]broccoli
  • 250ml semi (A)
So thats 2A+Bs and 2 syns used and I will use some more syns on milk no doubt...

OOOOOH and on the super duper great news front.... I was at the hospital on Wednesday for my colonoscopy / endoscopy jobby doo daa and well -what an adventure...
I got there and was shown to a ward -and had a gown and the tiniest pair of net pants I have ever seen and told to put em on  .... now you know how bad it is when someone is about to shove various items up you backside and you get all carried away because not only does the medium gown fit (with room to spare) and the knickers too :8855: -I sat on the bed swinging my legs like a toddler on to many E numbers :p
Anyhoo they decide to knock me out and next thing I know Im waking up 2hours later all cosy n tucked up in bed (hubby had been left on a plastic chair in the waiting room -oopsy)

They were worried about me because my blood pressure was so low -but I felt fine and tried to explain that when I was at my heaviest my blood pressure was perfect -BUT my mum has low blood pressure -and I always wondered if I should have the same but my weight raised it to "normal" -anyway they left me on the machine and then accepted that as I felt fine it must be normal for me ;)
Then I had to wait for the Dr -who appeared with all the info and a letter for my Dr and a copy for me and he said that he was suprised as -and I quote "everything down there was perfectly normal" :bliss: -see I have medical proof now that at least part of me is "perfect AND normal" :8855:
He has recommended that they do an MRI on the area to figure out what is causing the problem and from there decide if surgery is the only option,... Im at the surgeons on Wednesday so hopefully they will arrange the MRI then.
To be honest now I know that at least that is all OK -I don't much care what they want to do about it.
I know Im not totally in the clear yet but I swear me n hubby feel about 3st lighter..... oooh ooooh and THEN the morning after I get my results of my smear and that is fine too :happy036:
I have made a promise to myself now that I WILL NOT get slack on my check ups again.... I really should know better...Anyway when they do my MRI on my pelvis -I should know that Im all clear on everything as in the last 3 years I have had the following done:-
  • various MRI and scans on my head
  • the same on my chest
  • and ECG on my heart as they thought I had an enlarged aorta
  • my smear
  • a colonoscopy/endoscopy and my nether regions
  • and MRI down there too
so that only leaves my trotters :8855:

On the packing front -Im now upto 60 boxes done... and on top of that we have raw pine furniture so I got some bees wax and have sanded and waxed it all so it looks like new :girlpower: (just want to buy new knobs for it when Im home -I fancy crystal ones) -
I reckon that if I really had to I could probably get the rest packed in 3 days-ish... although I intend carrying on with my slow time sorting through everything :D
ooooh and YET more possible good news -it looks like our tennant should be moving out a little early or on time at least as she is looking at renting the house next door.... please let her get it.... it will be another thing to cross off the list of things to worry about,,,

god I am rambling.... I will get off as I need to get something else done -I will be back this evening to catch up with you all...
Have a lovely afternoon all!!!

Hi Capricorn, so pleased for you that all went well at the hospital. I can read the relief in your post!

And well done on the STS, although that list of high-syn foods is really not much spread across a whole week - I'm sure I could polish that lot off in one session if I put my mind to it! :)

Glad to hear the hospital went so well, that is good news (and a medium gown and knickers! Awesome :D, just to think, you're NEVER going to have to worry that they won't have a gown to fit you :D:D)

sounds rather like you've had a wee blip back to some of your old habits with food & stress? But given that was over a week and you got a STS you were still in control, which is great. AND, most importantly, you're back on the wagon now. :D:D

Hi Capricorn! Lovely to see you back on here and I'm so pleased to hear that your tests and investigations have all come back OK. 60 boxes!!!!!!! How big are they?????

I managed to lose 3 1/2 lbs last week but I'm off to London for 3 days this week so I'll probably put it back on again!!

Bye for now, Trace xxx
