Baby Charlie has arrived so lets get on with shedding the rest of this wobble!!!

Hi Capricorn!!! Another pound off for me this week, so that's 2 of the 3 that I put on during my London trips. Mind you, I've probably put it back on today as I went out to lunch with my lunch club at work (we put in a tenner a month each and go out about 4 times a year). We left work at 1.30 and I got back indoors just after 11, so I guess you could say it was quite a long lunch!!!!

I'm shattered now, so will be off to bed shortly. Back on the wagon tomorrow!!

Nte, nite, lots of love, |Trace xxxxx

Good luck with your WI tomorrow Capricorn, although, you don't need it as you are always doing Fab.

Well done on your lb loss Tracejovi.

We are off to the beach tomorrow, so early start and have to rush back for the footie, as OH "needs" to watch that, lol.. so need to plan my picnic and prob gonna do some KFC chicken Coujons for me and buy some for the kids (as I won't share mine, lol). Lots of salad, fruit and have 20 syns saved for tomorrow.

Capricorn, do you save that many the day before WI? As am concerned that if I have that many in one day, it'll affect my WI on Monday eve.

Have a great day and will pop back later xx

Afternoon all

Got here eventually :D-scuse my language but it is bleedin scorching here again today -we are at 89 indoors in the shade .

Giblet -hope you slept well -this blinkin heat doesn't make it easy!! well done on maintaining -sometimes it takes a couple of weeks for your system to get back into the swing of things doesn't it... keep up the great work :D
Trace -that was one heck of a "lunch" :p ....well done on the loss -see, knew you would get back into the swing of it in no time -hope you have an other good week!!
Nikki -oohh a day at the beach -now that sounds good "as long as its not to hot"... hubby is on duty tomorrow -so no watching football for me :sign0151: -although I don't mind it on that much. I will be watching the grand-prix and especially the moto GP (if its on tomorrow)..
I don't really save syns -I struggle to get through 15 a day -I have failed miserably this week as that was my aim -to use 15 a day..not a chance in hell -well not unless I was to eat for the sake of it. A lot of people do save them don't they though -so I think it might just be down to how individuals bodies work *not much help am I!!!*:giggle:
Well folk Im late getting here as we were up at 5am and on the golf course for 6:20 and it was red hot then too  -anyway it means Im now up to 12,300 steps :whacky068:

Anyway my meal plan for today was/is (very random as its far to hot)
  • 1 banana -at 5am this morning :p
  • 1 egg omelette with
  • bacon
  • onions
  • mushrooms
  • peppers
  • 21g low fat cheddar (1/2 A)
  • 71g baked beans (1/2 B)
  • melon
  • piri piri chicken (1)
  • 198g steamed potatoes (B)-might not even have these
  • lettuce
  • cucumber
  • tomato
  • celery
  • onions
  • peppers
  • gherkin
  • beetroot
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • 1tsp camp coffee (0.5)
  • melon
Well I did a 2 egg omelette but could only manage half of it so I have halved all the ingredients (except the cheese -I only had 21g on the whole thing)
Weigh day tomorrow -so :cross: for that -I want 2lbs off to get my 3st award.... so we shall see what they have to say for themselves won't we!!
Hopefully IF it cools down later I will get something done on the EA sports interactive thingy....that will probably be about midnight at this rate:rotflmao:

Right I can't remember if I posted the "buffalo chicken recipe -but as its so good I will do it again...someone on another thread wants it-so I can just copy it over then ;)
Buffalo chicken
serves 4
syns per serving:-
2.5 on EE and ORI
8 on Green

Marinade:-
  1. 2tbs runny honey
  2. 3tbs soy sauce
  3. 2 garlic cloves -peeled and crushed
  4. 1tsp paprika
  5. 1 red chilli-de-seeded and chopped -I left this out
  6. 1tsp tabasco or hot pepper sauce -and I doubled this ;)
  7. 1tbs white wine vinegar
  8. 2tbs tomato ketchup
  • whang it all together and drop in 16 skinless chicken wings (I used breasts cut into strips)
  • leave for 30 mins -I left all day
  • place on a baking sheet and bake in a pre-heated oven (200/gas6) for about 25mins or until cooked through (obviously less for the strips) -brushing over with any extra as they cook
they also give recipes for "honey mustard dip"
4oz fat free fromage frais
2tsp dijon mustard
2tsp runny honey
its all in one recipe so I assume that is included in teh syns (I haven't tried that yet)
The chicken is gorgeous -even cold...Im going to do pork fillet in it one day this week mmmmm

Right I will get off now as I need the loo..I swear Im getting through that much sparkling water -most of my "body magic" must be coming from going up n down to the bathroom :p -bet you needed to know that :D
Have a great evening all and keep up the great work;)

Morning all
Spanx-hope you like the buffalo chicken -we loved it
Well Im reporting in with a 3lb loss this week:bliss:which gave me a lovely new badge for my 3st :party0049:

Well folks -on to another week....
Hubby has just left for work -he is on duty so won't be back until tomorrow morning -but then he will have the day off :D -so we will be doing a water, fruit n veg top up -amongst other bits;)-must make a list -and finalise my meal plan for the week ,,,,

So then -my meal plan for today is:-
  • 2 rashers bacon:checkmark green:
  • mushrooms:checkmark green:
  • tomatoes:checkmark green:
  • melon/pineapple:checkmark green:
  • 2 seedy ryvita (B):checkmark green:
  • cottage cheese:checkmark green:
  • lettuce:checkmark green:
  • cucumber:checkmark green:
  • tomatoes:checkmark green:
  • celery:checkmark green:
  • peppers:checkmark green:
  • carrot:checkmark green:
  • onion:checkmark green:
  • gherkin:checkmark green:
  • beetroot:checkmark green:
  • 250ml semi (A):checkmark green:
  • 1tsp camp (0.5):checkmark green:
  • jelly + fruit (1)
  • bolognaise:checkmark green:
  • 198g steamed potatoes (B):checkmark green:
  • 1/4tsp oil (0.5):checkmark green:
  • paprika:checkmark green:
  • salad "as above":checkmark green:
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • 1tsp camp (0.5)
  • jelly+fruit (1)
  • 50g vanilla quark (1)
So that is my A+Bs accounted for and 4.5syns -I will see if I can squidge a few extra in somewhere later,

It looks set to be another sticky hot day again-so it will be -close the curtains and keep the fan on full welly so I can get some time in on the wii without passing out from the heat ;)
Right Im off to get my brekkie -have a great day everyone:D

Morning Capricorn and everyone else who pops by! :)

Congrats on your loss and your next stone sticker Capricorn - go you!!! :0clapper: You're a shining example to us all.

Had a sneaky peek on the scales this morning and it looks as though my lunch, not to mention the 99 ice cream cone, followed by several cocktails has caused me to put on 1/2 lb!!! Never mind, back on the wagon now and back to Zumba tomorrow. I'm going on a cruise with my Mum 5 weeks today and my aim is to be 11 stone by then, so I need to lose 4 1/2 lbs. Must stick rigidly to the eating plan and get some more exercise in methinks!

I spent yesterday painting my forecourt wall and my front door - I lead such an exciting life! Still it'll all be worth it when someone buys my house. I've been feeling tired all week after all the lifting and shifting and taking stuff to the tip last weekend. Anyway, I made up for it today and didn't wake up until 10.45  It's noon as I type and I've just had brekkie and I'm not even dressed!!! Oh well, It's Sunday - who cares?????

That's all for now, take care, lots of love Trace xxxx

Hi Capricorn,

Just a quick message to say well done for the 3 stone! :553:

You are doing brilliantly, I am trying to persuade my boyfriend that we need a wii fit! Its not going well! lol

Have a great rest of day

Claire x

Evening all

Ecky thump -its another scorcher here again - 7:50pm and we are still at 89 degrees:eek:. But I have made it through hubby being on duty -well its not bed time yet -but I have only used 1syn and have a heA left to use (cold camp coffee here I come :p)
Thanks Claire... I swear I never wanted a wii -then when I started SW I decided a couple of weeks in that I if I got one I could "force myself" to do 30mins a day on it (I hated exercise) I [STRIKE]think[/STRIKE]know hubby was expecting it to stand in a corner gathering dust...but I can't keep of the bloomin thing. Hubby got it for my birthday -which isn't until december :giggle:. It has seriously earnt its keep in this house. I hope you can talk your boyfriend round ;). How are things going with you?
Hiya Trace..thanks for your lovely comment :p -I seem to have AT LAST find my mojo -its only taken me 38 years :silly:.
Im sure that 1/2lb will be gone before weigh in-"oh to be 11st" Im not sure what I will do when I can say that!!! Im sure whatever it is it will be loud :D
ooh I live in my "scruffy comfies" when Im indoors -3/4 length jigglyparma bottoms are the order of the day -I really need to get some new ones though,
You sound like you have been super busy... do you know where you are moving to yet? or are you still looking?

Well folks earlier on today -despite the blasted heat -I drew the curtains, locked the fan straight at me(on full welly) and go on the wii ;) 1hr 40mins later a very red, even soggier me got of again:rotflmao:
I have to say that Im loving the EA sports interactive thingy and the "more workouts" too -I even did 30mins step on it -complete with knee lifts, kicks and leg curls ... I have a lot more on them to look into-but so far Im loving them :bliss:
Well here are my meals:-
last nights piri piri chicken -just 1 syn for that lot:p

this mornings brekkie

lunchie-poo

and tonights dinner

Im not sure what Im going to do as Im starting to find I struggle to eat my 198g of potato as a (B)-it is too much -I don't want to start splitting them -so I will have to figure something out . Im not cutting down on my salad or veg as I love it -even hubby reckons I make monster salads ...anyway -hopefully its just the heat that is messing me about.
Im off in a moment to finish that shopping list that I have been threatening to do all weekend:eek: -then I will settle down with a cold coffee and then later some jelly, fruit and vanilla quark -that will be the heA gone and 2 .5 more syns..
Anyway -have a great night all, and keep at it...

*ooops and I almost forgot -I have done 5,400 steps too*

Hey Capricorn,
Well done on the weight loss - another 3lbs! You deserve every ounce though considering how hard you work :)
Hope you're having a great evening, and the weather is cooling down for you. Speak soon x

Afternoon all -thanks for the lovely messages everyone :thankyou:

I got here eventualy -Better late than never ehh!!!
Well if it dosen't cool down here sometime soon I may well turn into a big ole puddle  -it is ridiculous -and hardly any oxygen in the air,,

Anyway, now you see -I went shopping, and well -what can I say apart from "oops" -I haven't picked up anything off plan :D-however I "might" have got carried away with the fruit

Im now the proud owner of:-
  • 5kg (40) nectarines
  • 2.5kg cherries -the really dark yummy ones :D
  • 2kg apricots
  • 1 galia melon
  • 1 honey dew melon
  • 1 cantaloupe melon
  • 1 pineapple
  • 2 mangoes
  • hand of bananas
  • and 1lb of strawberries
:giggle:and hubby rarely eats fruit -so "its mine all mine" :p. Its not my fault if they decided to sell nectarines in 2.5kg trays (and they MADE me buy 2;)) and the apricots and cherries were in boxes :whistle:OK -so I get a bit loopy where fruit is concerned, its always been my fave food group!
Don't get me started on the salad/veg I picked up  it is verging on obscene...

Anyway -todays meal plan looks like this :-
  • nectarines
  • apricots
  • cherries
  • piri piri turkey kebabs (free :party0049:)
  • 198g steamed potatoes(B)
  • lettuce
  • cucumber
  • tomato
  • celery
  • carrot
  • red/yellow pepper
  • onion
  • spring onion
  • gherkin
  • beetroot
  • 250ml semi(A)
  • 1tsp camp coffee (0.5)
  • 2 ryvita seedy (B)
  • 42g low fat cheddar(A)
now then -that is dismal isn't it -but its so blinkin hot that brekkie+lunch have been fruit "wonder why!":rotflmao:
Dinner is under way though and then I will have my iced coffee later and cheese n biccies -so at least I will have used my A+Bs :D and I will see if I can eat some syns later-although with all this scrummy fruit in the house -its not likely.
I really need to get on the wii this evening -I have only clocked up 3700 steps so far *bad bad me*...
ooh and I got those resistance bands ordered -so when they arrive it will be all systems go with the EA sports interactive challenge
right Im going to get off and make the salads..have a great evening all and keep at it...

Just a quick "pop in"

I have just managed to get 1hr 7mins done on the wii -30mins of which was the EA sport active "step" -which reckoned I burned 388 cals :D...in just 30mins,,,although I was one red sweaty puddle when I had done :p
I have also managed to get my steps up to 7062 :party0048:
I have had my iced coffee and Im about to have my 2 ryvita (B) and 43g low fat cheddar (A) :D
Right -Im off again.. sleep well everyone

Morning all

Another day -and it looks like being a scorcher *again*:sigh:. I decided to beat the heat and get out and mow the lawn-so that is all done n dusted for another few days :D

My meal plan for today is:-
  • honeydew melon
  • strawberries
  • mango
  • tuna fish
  • lettuce
  • cucumber
  • tomato
  • celery
  • red/yellow pepper
  • carrot
  • gherkin
  • beetroot
  • balsamic vinegar/lemon juice
  • peach
  • apricots
  • cherries
  • salad *as above*
  • 227g jacket potato(B)
  • cottage cheese
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • 1tsp camp (0.5)
  • 2 seedy ryvita (B)
  • 42g low fat cheddar(A)
So that will be my A+Bs accounted for and I will see if I can squish in a few more syns as I go along.

I can't believe how fast time is zooming by -makes me all the more determined just to try my best each day. I think that might be my "secret weapon" -I seem to have the mindset that I just need to try my hardest to make sensible food choices and to get some exercise in for "just today" ....then when I get to the end of it Im happy that I have achieved my goal and then I start the following day doing just the same thing "just for today"...before you know it weeks have gone by :bliss:.
I think that where i went wrong on previous diets *not that SW is a diet of course*(especially WW) was that I would have my weigh in and then blob out for a couple of days  -then spend the rest of the week trying to make up for it :banghead: .... now I weigh in on the Sunday morning and then just make a start for the next week...no blobbing out for me anymore :nono: -and it just seems so little effort now *long may it last* :p

Right Im off to get my brekkie and then phone mum and then get some mins clocked up on the wii,,
Have a great day everyone and keep at it...

Evening all

Well my meal plan has been stuck to right up to dinner -but now Im not hungry enough to have the cheese n crispbreads -so Im going to double up my milk and have a BIG iced coffee with a cereal bar..so I still use my A+Bs .... and I will have used 1syn-not great but hey ho...
On the exercise front -we have just got back from a 1hr yomp through the woods with the dog -some of those hills had we huffin n puffin -but now I have cooled down I feel great and full of energy :p and I have managed to clock up 1hr 30mins on the wii EA sports interactive personal trainer thing :Doh and I have finished on 10,017steps ;)
Right Im off for my coffee -have a good night everyone

Hey Capricorn!

Sounds like another good day for you! I have had a wobbly day today, used all 15 syns (and probably a few more) but don't mind too much as it could well have turned into a takeaway or a biscuit binge! So not all bad I suppose!

Is it still very hot there? Its rainy and windy here now :( Although to be honest I don't mind as its cooled right down and I am getting some sleep again!

One question I had is do you do EE, or red or green days- or do you mix them? I have only ever done EE as I don't have scales and don't really want to weigh things, just didn't know if it might be worth trying them and see if I can speed up the weight loss a little? What do you think?

I'm still um-ing and ar-ing about the nintendo wii. Don't know if I can justify all that money (we are on a bit of a budget :( ) and worried incase I wouldn't use it- I get really embarressed exercising in front of my partner so would have to do it in the bedroom.. Hmmm! Decisions!

Anyway, well done on a good day, I have just done as online asda shop and you inspired me to order lots of fruit (I only ever eat apples and banana's) and I ordered pineapple and strawberry aswell! Small steps but getting there!

Have a great evening

Claire xx

Hey there,
Just checking in. Sounds like another great day on plan. You'd be proud of me Capricorn - went to the Trafford Centre and had Jacket Potato and beans :) The kick up the bum seems to have worked so thank you!
It is definitely cooler here - torrential rain and spray on the Motorway though which wasn't pleasant but def good to be able to sleep again.
I would recommend the Wii Claire - we're on a budget too but it gets loads of use and was well worth the initial money (even though I live in an upstairs flat and have to wait until my neighbour downstairs is out before I go on!)
Sleep well everyone and take care x

Morning Capricorn

Hope its cooler where you are, it certainly is here, weather has changed big time.

You are really good with you exercise.. I walk, go to the gym now and swim, but would enjoy the wii games I think, my OH's son has a wii and might see if I can borrow it when OH is out anyway, lol.

Hope all is well with you xxx

Morning all

We have another blinkin scorcher here again -just a day of rain is all Im asking for..is it really THAT difficult

Hi claire-
I started off on EE as this is my first time of doing SW (apart from one short attempt when I was 14 ;)). I did like EE and thought it was the most straight forward, but then I decided to give red days a go -and I have really taken to them. The most amazing thing was that when I first had to weigh out 198g potatoes for a heA it worked out that I got MORE than I had been giving myself on EE :D .... I love having 2A+Bs too :p.
I don't think I will stray off red days much -although if I was going out for the day then swapping to EE might be easier. Could you hijack someones kitchen scales for a week to see if you like red/green days?

silly as it sounds -if you don't have the time to be faffing about weighing every day then how about doing most of at the begining of the week..so you could perhaps:-
  • cut cheese into portions
  • weight potatoes into servings
then when you are in a rush you can just grab what you need ...

I know how you feel about the wii -I really had never wanted one -but convinced myself that I would MAKE myself do 30mins a day ...and now I can't keep off the thing -it really is addictive :p. when I first started I used to select the games that didn't make me look quite so silly (or wobbly:D) -then I saw hubby trying to do the step thing :rotflmao:you have never seen such a lack of co-ordination... *imagine an untrained chimp trying to juggle with its feet and you are about there* -now I bounce and wobble all over the living room whilst hubby is sat here on the PC ...
I hope you enjoy all your fruit -I can't function without lots of fruit -I have given up cakes, choccie, pastries and everything -but I could never give up fruit
Hope you have a good week!!!
Giblet -
Proud of you indeed -jacket n beans :worthy:when I dread to think what some of the other options might be
oh lord if I was in an upstairs flat the poor b*ggers underneath would wonder what was going on:giggle:-in fact I would probably "drop in" on them;)
Nikki -the weather just won't give in and cool down-its awful-although strangely enough its not bothering me half as much as it used to! who knows by next year I might even like the sun (although don't bet on it).
How is your week going? hope you are having a good one!

well folks my meal plan for today is:-
  • nectarine
  • apricots
  • bolognaise -wants using up
  • 198g cold steamed potatoes(B)
  • lettuce
  • cucumber
  • tomato
  • celery
  • carrot
  • red/yellow pepper
  • gherkin
  • spring onion
  • melon
  • cherries
  • strawberries
  • salmon
  • carrots
  • cauli
  • broccoli
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • 1tsp camp (0.5)
  • nectarine
  • melon
  • apricot
  • cherries
that leaves me an A+B -which will either be crisp breads n cheese or a bigger iced coffee and cereal bar this evening :sign0151:
I need to use some syns up though -so I will sort that out as I go.

I don't know if anyone has seen Snuggles thread about her "fishy week" -she has lost 8lb this week having fish for lunch/dinner . As I love fish Im going to give this a go -I think Im going to wait until Sunday so i can do a full week of it... sounds interesting, even if I don't get a huge loss..it will be interesting..
right Im off to get some time in on the wii before I have lunch..
Have a great day ladies and keep up the great work :D

Hi Capricorn

Your diary is as lovely to read as ever! fab posts! i really must talk more in mine!!!

Shall we start sunday then on fishy week? that would give me a full week too as i have WI saturday morning? looking fwd to it, although ill be relying on your recipe knowledge for some nice meal ideas! ps. im moving to germany, i love the sun if i am able to bathe in it, ill be around shortly so get the spare room ready!!! My friends are still over there, theyre trying to get us to go over in a fortnight, the festival day? do you have that where you are? XXX

Hi Capricorn

Yes, all is well with this week, wish my losses were bigger each week, so upping the anti on exercise this week and more free food on my Red Days too, should hopefully make a difference.

I might give that a go with the Fish week, love shellfish, got lots of salmon in freezer as well. What a fab loss Snuggles got, wowww 8lb, now that would be the icing on the cake, before the hols.

I would think by next year you will be immuned to the heat, lol.. Capricorn, the hot chick :) xx
