Cherries are hard to get hold of I went to every supermarket in my area a few weeks ago and hey all said they have had no cherries for ages. There's loads of cake reciepes with cherries too :-(

I wouldn't bother buying the fresh ones at the moment, soooooo expensive. My little girl asked me weeks ago to get some but like you they weren't in the shops. Found them in tesco the other day and bought a small bag, no more than 30-35 cherries. Didn't check my receipt until I got home and they were £4.28! Rip off! If I had of known at the time I wouldn't have bought them.
