Beauty regimes ?

What is the naked pallette? I am rubbish with make up but always looking for new things that others recommend.
Always get duped by the false advertising of mascara as well so like to hear of good ones ;)

It's 12 (I think) eyeshadows in kind of muted colours. Mixture of shimmery and matte and a little goes a long way. Can do practically anything from a pale eye to smokey eye. Worth the money if, like me, your eye makeup is either smokey or neutral. Not at all worth it if colour is your thing!

My fave mascara of the moment is Miss Sporty, it's in a bright pink tube and is called something like studio volume? It's £2.99 and I adore it. Cautionary note though, I like my mascara big, bold and not at all natural looking...although I think one coat of this is pretty natural :)

Love make-up, wear it everyday, get nails done every fortnight but that is about it...I' not very high maintenance lol. Make-up wise, for a foundation it has to be Mac Studio Fix, amazing stuff, will never go back, and after trying loads of mascaras, definitely Max Factor False Lash Effect as someone else has mentioned. For a nude lipstick Mac Blankety or Honey Love....my two most favourite lipsticks xx

I would love to wear lots of pretty make up, but i always end up looking like a clown! :( i need to go on one of those make up courses lol :p

I used to swear by Elizabeth Arden's 8hr cream (lush!)...til i found out they tested on animals :(

Anyone of you lovely ladies have any tips for me? Now i just use St Ive's apricot scrub and Dove face cream (the thick stuff, feels horrible to me, much too thick but i have super dry skin so haven't found an alternative yet...

I do my nails but by the next day they are all chipped and nasty looking so i don't tend to do them that often...i wanna be girly *says the tomboy in the corner* hehe x

I use Avon Anew facial serum daily, followed by Anew eye cream, face cream & neck cream. I also use anti aging hand cream daily. I use a facial spa thingy once a week, face scrub once a week & on a Sunday I have a long shower with face mask, body scrub, followed by foot moisturise & body moisturiser, but during the week after I've got out of the shower I spray with body oil (it's quicker).

I never leave the house without makeup & love colour, but my problem is I like bright eyeshadow & colourful lipstick, which just aren't a good match! Most of my make up & toiletries are Avon which I just love.

I've now started going on the sunbed as I've realised I look much better with a bit of colour, but I'll go on just to take the whiteness off!

Lol sounds like me ;) if we live active and busy life our nails and make up do suffer lol x i tend to stock with either black/silver eye make up or brown/cream depending on what i am wearing :)

They sell gel nail kits and that would be worth a try,not false nails but a gel coat that is used under a light to set it and can last up to 2 weeks. Maybe worth having a looksee

I use the red carpet manicure set that you can get online or from Harvey Nichols. Its about £85 for a starter set and you get one colour, but I was having shellac done at £25 a time and it never lasts more than a week on my fingers so in four applications it had paid for itself and I can do my toes too. There are loads of other colours you can buy at £11.95 and I think you get about 20-25 applications per bottle so worth it in my book. The only downside, as with shellac, is that it does damage your nails a bit no matter what they say so they do take a bit of time to recover when you stop. My nails aren't so good in the winter as they get a bit dry and flaky so I leave them growing in the summer and tend to have nice strong colours over winter.

A tip for doing your right hand with your left (if you're right handed) is to move your hand and not the brush or pen. I find that makes things slightly more accurate.

I use Liz Earle skin care and swear by it... I find I have tried cheaper brands of skin care but end up going back to what works...

Sadly I don't have that much to choose from as the majority of companies still insist on animal testing :( am stuck with places like lush and superdrug x

I've been meaning to try the cleanse & polish for a long time, heard lots of good things about it!

Really worth it, I wear a lot of make up (not every day-but when I do as I am goth its heavy) and some days none at all... Either way I use cleanse and polish and it cleans my skin thoughly... xx

Well found out m&s sell make up that isn't testing on animals so spent a small fortune in there today, hope it's nice/good, now just gotta learn to apply it without looking like the tango girls on the beauty counters lol

Lol to tango girls! I always think our HR team all look Orange...xx

I like to cleanse and moisturise at least once a day - usually at the end of the day. But after a night out i tend to pass out dizzily into bed and wake up all spotty. My bad for being lazy haha! I like to take the make up off with cheapish face or baby wipes, then do a deeper cleanse to get the other cak off :)
