Bev - Round 2

Well, I'm back to work as normal and I have just bitten the bullet and ordered some exante to start in a week and half's time. I think to be perfectly happy I need to lose about 3 stones (!!!). I have my daughter's wedding to think about (hopefully beginning of June) and then followed by a holiday later that month. I really don't want to look back at the wedding photos and be disappointed with myself. I've seen a couple of nice outfits already and would love to look and feel great in them. Planning to start exante a week saturday coming as long as all is OK. I thought I would need to lose about 2 stones but what with overdoing it at christmas and new year I think an extra one wouldn't hurt!

I wish keeping the weight off was as easy as losing it!

Happy new year Bev. I see your back to TFR again. Good luck with it and I am sure you will do as well as you always do on it. The weight melts off you when you do it. Hopefully, this time you will crack it.

Sounds like a plan Bev ... why do we do it? .. :sigh: .... We all need to knuckle down now :) xx

Totally agree Jan.

Ordered my exante on Tuesday and it came yesterday afternoon. Brilliant service! I'm really beginning to look forward to starting next week now. At first I thought I didn't want to do it again but when I really thought about it, I know I need to do it again to just get things sorted and to feel happy about myself again. I have to find a way of maintaining that I can cope with not just think the weight's gone so I can eat what I like. I find the losing weight quite easy, but the maintaining is another matter!! Got to sort it this time.

Good luck with your restart. Hope the first week is not too tough.

Good luck Bev ... did you get any of the porridge? I haven't tried that yet x

Good luck with it Bev x

I'm sure you'll do fab on exante Bev.
Maintaining really is the difficult part! x

AND HOW!!! xx

Yeah Jan I got some of the porridge. I thought that might be nice to have for my tea on a very cold evening! I get so cold when on exante. Only usually have coffee to warm me up so I'm hoping that will help. People on the exante forum say that the porridge is a bit like ready brek, which I really like anyway. Will let you know what it's like. I wont be trying it for the first week though, I want to get used to the shakes again and forget about flavours(!) until I try the porridge. I'm afraid if I try it too soon I wont like it cos it's wont have a lot of flavour. I start a week tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. I'm sure the weight loss will really help my knee too, still haven't gone back to badminton yet cos of it. I will do soon though.

Hi Bev, the porridge is a bit of strange consistency so I played around with it a bit and add 2 sweeteners and it is lovely. It has proper oats in so feels like your eating something "normal". And it is really filling :)

Sorry your knee is taking its time Bev :(. But when you can get back to badminton it'll deffo help with the weightloss won't it :)

I'm Dukan-ing for a few days but I have loads of shakes so may well be joining you guys, at least to some extent, at some point :) x

Good plan to steer away from the porridge to start if you think you're not going to like it straight away. Shame your knee is still acting up. Are you going to go to the docs with it? x

I wont be going docs about my knee. It's a lot better but I just don't want to risk badminton just yet on it. I will feel a lot better about starting back at badminton once I have dropped a little weight too. I'm sure that will really help my knee.

Had a nice lazy, quiet weekend. That's what they're for in my opinion!

Stocked up on Coke Zero yesterday cos it's half price in tesco at the moment. Need to get a 2 litre bottle of water and a half litre bottle too. I top them up from the tap but need the bottles to start with. Starting Exante on saturday and looking forward to it now.

Hubby made a lovely steak pie yesterday for tea. However, taking it out of the oven he dropped it on the floor which smashed the dish and left us with no tea!! He was so mad with himself for doing it but he wont do that again in a hurry!!

How do you know it was a lovely steak pie then??? ;) Lol!

Glad you enjoyed your weekend - that's deffo what they're for imo!

I know what you mean about looking fwd to getting started - any particular reason you can't start earlier? You could lose a good few lbs between now and then :) xx

No reason really Jan, just have it in my head to start on saturday. I like to start on a saturday cos it gives me a couple of days start before I have to go to work. Once I get those first few days over with I'm usually fine. I think the hardest thing will be drinking all that water again, I struggle with a litre at work at the moment and I aim to have at least 2 litres during work whilst on exante. All the fun of TFR!

Yup, good luck for Saturday Bev but we all know you do so well on it :)

What a bummer you're hubby dropping the pie!!!! :giggle: x
