I sometimes crave 'birthday cake' ! lol......think it's the icing :D
same with xmas cake, but i really just like the marzipan & icing :D

I've seen the syn free cake recipe before....but never made anything yet where i have to whisk just egg whites...sounds tricky :D:rolleyes:
 
SLOW COOKER CHICKEN CURRY - Serves 4

Syn Free
hh
4 large, skinless chicken breast, cubed
Approx. 600g potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
400g can chopped tomatoes
1 onion, diced
1 tbsp. grated, fresh ginger, or to taste
1-2 tbsp. curry powder
Frozen peas
FF coconut yoghurt or a few drops of coconut essence

Spray the slow cooker with Frylight - just to make washing up easier.
Mix the curry powder into the chopped tomatoes.
Add everything, except the peas and yoghurt (add the essence, if using), to the slow cooker.
Stir in a sprinkling of salt.
Cook on Low for about 7 hours or on High for about 3 hours.
Add the frozen peas during the last two minutes of cooking.
Turn off the cooker and add in some coconut yoghurt, if using.
Lovely served with plain boiled rice.
 
Breakfast casserole

[h=3]ingredients[/h]
  • 300g tomatoes, chopped
  • 4 medium sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 6 rashers lean bacon, cooked and chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 200g quark
  • 6 medium eggs
  • 200g mushrooms
  • Herbs

  • Beat the eggs, Quark, salt and pepper together. Spray inside of slow-cooker with low calorie cooking spray.
  • Layer potatoes, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms and onions in the slow-cooker in two or three layers.
  • Pour over the egg mixture and sprinkle with herbs.
  • Cook on 'low' for ten to twelve hours or until eggs are set and thoroughly cooked.
 
Spicy Slow Cooked Pork

[h=3]ingredients[/h]
  • 2 leeks, sliced
  • 175g button mushrooms
  • 250ml chicken stock
  • 1 carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • ½ tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 red chilli, de-seeded and finely chopped
  • Low calorie cooking spray
  • 700g lean braising pork, cut into 2.5cm cubes
[h=3]method[/h]
  • Heat a frying pan and spray with a little low calorie cooking spray. Brown the pork in batches for about 5 minutes until golden all over.
  • Place the leeks, carrot, mushrooms, garlic, chicken stock, tomatoes, paprika and chilli in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer into the slow-cooker and pour over the contents of the saucepan. Cover with the lid and cook on 'low' for 5-6 hours or until the pork is tender.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper if necessary. Serve with rice and vegetables.

Yes its more the icing with me as well lol but luvkily the swiss roll curbed it xx
 
Well just been on SW website to update my diary and theys a new planner for extra easy and its so much better :D Even as a journal to say how you felt about the day :D
Anyway here is todays food....

Breakfast - 2 wholemeal slices 400g bread (hexb) with 1 tsp marg (1 syn) and 40g reduced fat cheese (hexa)

Lunch - Portion of strawberry & vanilla swiss roll & a cuppa (6 syns)

Tea - Spicy slow cooked pork with rice (all free)

Really pleased with todays food as stayed within my personal 5-10 syns :D My throat still hurts to point I cant talk hardly :9
