canan81
Ok so Sunday was going well. But I just messed up big time. I had a hefty sandwich actually I had 2. I got quite upset today with my other half actually I got really upset and angry I'm thinking it may have been because of that. I hope I cam get back to it tomorrow but I probably did the worst thing by having such heavy carbs.
How is everybody else Sunday going
Hi Canan - sorry to hear about your row with the OH and the resulting sandwich attack. The carbs may throw you out of ketosis, so get right back on ss and drink loads of water! Hopefully it will only take a day or two to get back. The diet is tough as it is so restrictive, but it is also easy for the same reason. And the weight comes off fairly rapidly which keeps you motivated. Keep at it! You
can do it!
Hi Canan81
I know the feeling... I am in my first week and ended up drinking a bottle of wine last night and a pack of crisps....it seems stupid as the diet is such hard work so I was angry with myself... I have been good today so hope I lose something on my first weigh in Tuesday evening x Just get back on it.... I am going away in 2 weeks so I dont know what I am meant to do !! ask my other half to take the kids out for tea whilst I have a shake in te caravan LOL and drink water inthe clubhouse x oh well will carry on for now x
CGTW14 - hmmm a bottle of wine is mostly sugar + crisps = carbo load. Not sure what impact that's going to have for you other than perhaps throw you out of ketosis! Hope you don't have a sore head today from the wine.
I went away for a ski week and purposely went off CD for it - in the mountains you need the carbs and calories not only to ski, but to keep warm, as you're outside pretty much all day. However, I didn't need to drink all the wine, cosmos, mojitos that I did...
I made a point of drinking at least 2 ltrs of water a day if not more, which was tricky as it had to happen after the skiing (there are not a lot of toilets on the slopes and I didn't fancy exposing myself to the elements!). I was lucky and only gained 1.5lbs. Some posters have told me they gained 5-9lbs on their weeks off. Everyone is different.
Later this month I'm driving over to Ireland from Netherlands to visit some friends and explore the country a bit. I will be bringing CD with me and have already told my friends that I'm on a very restrictive diet. That said, I do plan to have *some* fun - I'm looking forward to eating meat, veg, salads and having the odd glass of wine. Perhaps even a guinness - I mean, really, I'd be remiss not to wouldn't I???
Basically, I'm planning to do CD for morning and lunch and then managing dinner very carefully. As I'm not skiing or doing other intense exercise this trip, my goal is just not to gain any weight. If I still lose, that would be a bonus!
And, being a bit of a control nut - not only are the CD products coming with me, so are my scales! I figure if I monitor myself daily (as I do at home), I can minimize any damage.
Good luck with your weigh-in Tuesday!
