Day 60 - Saturday 16 July 2011

Thank you ladies :) I did get some sleep although I was up and going around Asda's at 7.30 this morning!

So today has been a wash out weather wise, we did plan to go over the town show today but its been raining on and off all day so that went out the window.

We are just waiting for Cass to come round, she's off visiting her dad with Jake and her boyfriend so will be round early evening, just want to give her the biggest hug ever!

Ok food wise I've had for breakfast a hi-fi bar, this was on the go to Asdas, lunch was a jacket potatoe with cheese (A) with salad and tomatoes, dinner tonight is jumbo prawns in a spicy tomato sauce with linguine, yummy! I could really drink a bottle of wine tonight but I'm not going to, I don't think being hung over and doing the race for life is a good thing lol.

I won't be posting while Cass is here so everyone have a super duper weekend and I'll catch up with you later Boo xx

Ooooh just a quick pop in to post a couple of photo's on here the first is me and Cass and they second is Cass and Jake, I do have a step daughter and a step son too, and I'm an honourary Nan too ! Boo xx

Day 62 - Monday 18th July 2011

Afternoon everyone! I've had a fab weekend thank you ladies, but as usual it goes too quickly.

Cass arrived Saturday evening with her boyfriend, I made her a lovely dinner and we spent some time catching up with things as I really don't see her as often as I would like. She's lost a lot of weight and she looks so healthy for it, she makes me so proud I could burst!

Sunday morning we got up early and got everything together as I had to drop off Cass and Nate at Chelmsford train station after race for life as they had a set time for their train from Paddington to go back home.

I was thinking that the race would be a wash out but the weather held till we got back to the car when the heavens opened and it came down in bucket loads. We managed to do the 5km in 55 minutes which I didn't think was too bad seeing as its across fields, I'm definately paying for it today tho lol

My mum called to say that she's aching too so there's at least two of us that are crippled today lol! Cass is next down at the end of August for my granddaugthers 1st Birthday party, I'll post a picture of her soon. She'll be down a bit longer next time so I can grab some quality time with her.

I would dearly love to go down and see Cass but finances are so tight at the minute its impossible, but we do speak or text each other every day.

I'm enjoying my first week off in absolutely ages but woke up at ridiculous o'clock wide awake, I guess because I was in bed by 8.30 last night as I was completely worn out lol.

Blimey I've just realised this is a long post lol

I've kept to plan all through the weekend although I dearly would have loved to have some wine but resisted. This afternoon we have to go and see Mr Boo's doctor and get another lot of his meds which have to be increased soon.

Weigh in is tomorrow, I don't feel like i've lost so I guess I'll have to wait and see, hope everyone is having a lovely, lovey day Boo xxx

Here's a photo of me and Cass at the race for life, sorry its not a very good photo but its the only one I have!

Hi Boo

Hope you're well and enjoying the time with your kids.

I did Race For Life yesterday too, cannot walk today!! Worth it though. Its such an emotional thing isn't it. I've done it before but my sister hasn't and started to cry virtually as we got out of the car!! It really makes you think when you read peoples messages for their reasons for doing it. So sad.

I'm sure my legs will feel much worse tomorrow!

xx

Hiya SB

Yes I cry every year! We all did. Where did you do your race? I try and read as many messages as I can, sometimes when I see photo's of loved ones passed, it brings home how many people of all different ages and races are affeted.

I guess my legs will be feeling it much more tomorrow too! It makes me realise how unfit I really am lol Boo xx

Boo,
Gorgeous photo of the two of you xxx
And well done on the RFL and keeping on track over the weekend, when it would have been so easy to fall off the wagon enjoying yourself:)
Nice soak in a hot bath is called for;)
