Bostik's Finally Doing It :)

Just had training. Ouch! My legs and stomach felt like they were on fire! Lots of planks and lunges and leg raises and squats and curls and stuff I can't even remember the name of. I think I actually hated him today lol.

Well done with the training.
I think I would probably get bored with running. I get why people love it, but I can't stand doing the same thing for more than 10 mins. All the cardio machines at the gym drive me mad, and I dread them. Only ever do 10 minute bursts on them.
I like your attitude towards it all though hun, like Caroline said, you have done brilliantly to get as far as you have. :)

Might help if I ran outside but I seriously don't have the confidence for that! Also, I run at night so probably not the safest of ideas!

No probably not. I understand the confidence thing with running outside, as I was the same.
It's a shame your interest has gone, but there are lots of other things you can do. The main thing is you are still exercising and still burning lots of cals :)

I'd never do anything outside! Unless hidden by the cover of darkness and then maybe. I was put off going for jogs for the same reason.

Still gonna make myself run the ten minutes. It's better than nothing. Gets the calories burning!

I wouldn't even do it at night! Just think who is out at night in my area usually? Young guys. The type that are likely to make comments! No thanks! It only took me so long to start C25K on the treadmil cos I thought I'm in public in the gym and it'll be the first time I try to run and if I can't do it everyone is gonna see. Which was obviously stupid cos no one cares in the gym.

I get like that too bostik. I'm a bit scared to try on a treadmill because I don't want too look a numpty when I have to stop after 30 seconds!! Which is pretty stupid as I know there isnt a spotlight on me! Nobody's watching. Im like it with the weights machines. The fear of doing something daft is enough to stop me trying. So I was very proud of myself for doing a full lot of reps/sets on every last one last week :) ...... Not the treadmill tho!! I like my new gym. It's a little one, not too busy.

Yeah, once you actually do it you realise how silly you're being! Well done on doing the weights! :D Treadmill next! ;)

Scales are doing my head in! On weigh in day (Thursday) I'd got down to 172. Friday it showed 173. Saturday 174. Today 175!!

Been exercising. Been in my calories. So I know it is not real. But still!

Measured last night and no inches lost either since a week ago. Not feeling the love at the moment!

The mid 170's are a bugger whenever I get down to them. It's like my body hits 12st 4 and just refuses to go lower without a fight. Ive busted thru twice by low carbing for a few weeks weeks but I'm a miserable mooo without plenty of carbs!!

I hope it's not the same for me! I can't do without my carbs!

I've been the same this week, scales are up, no inches changed at the moment. Have you started Kettleworx this week? I've found that I HAVE to have a rest day before WI otherwise I'm holding on to the water from exercise and I don't get a proper WI. You're working your body pretty hard, I think maybe a rest day before WI might help you too.

Wow just caughy up on your diary. Your a true inspiration.
What is this kettleworxs everyone is doing?

caroline - the day before weigh in I just go to the gym, I don't do any weights at all. I thought it might be the kettlebells from your thread, thats why I measured. But nothing. The last time I didn't lose much was 185ish. Kept gaining and losing the same few pounds. But I deserved it then cos kept going off track :(

I'm gonna keep at it til it moves! I know this works so it will have to move eventually!

lyndzi - thanks :) kettleworx is a 6 week programme using the kettlebell as a weight. It's meant to be amazing for inch loss so shaping up! There's a thread called "Secret to Shaping Up" in the exercise section of this forum. Check it out! I did, and was so impressed I had to give it a go :)

Even just an intense cardio workout puts me up on the scales the next morning. Like you said, will come off so just stick with it!

Sometimes we have to ignore the scales. I know that sounds ridiculous when we are all trying to lose weight, but it's true. You have been doing this malarky long enough to know that you are eating less and burning more, so you will be losing weight. Your'e doing everything right cos your fab, so maybe you will get a bigger than normal loss next WI. :)

Kettleworx cardio week 2 done. Wasn't so bad. Hate all my floppy bits in the jumping jacks! And the figure eights were like impossible. Need to work on them!

Your doing great Bostik!! That weight will come off and those inches will too. :)

I lost 0.75lbs week 1 when 3.25lbs week 2, averages to 2lbs a week so squeezy is right, if you have a small loss, you'll probably have a bigger one next week.
