Caledonian Dukan

yep me too a bit worried but hoping she is with MrCD and family on the isle of lewis - wasnt sure when she was going but perhaps limited internet access

Hey guys, I'm alive and well!! I decided to come up to Lewis earlier than planned as I was exhausted and needed my hubby :). Laptop here was being mended though so have been offline for this last week . Good to be back.
I saw a librarian here yesterday who asked me whether I had lost loads of weight or did I have a twin who was much bigger than me!!! She couldn't get over how different I look and wanted to know how so I praised Dukan to her. And I went to see Mr CD at work and people there were gobsmacked too! Great feeling :D. Next week I'll be seeing some friends here who haven't seen me since I was about 4 stone heavier so they'll be suprised.
Dukan-wise I'm still on Cruise as I'd like to at least get 6 more pounds lost even if I can't maintain that - am trying to exercise more so today swam 2 miles and want to build up to 3 by the end of the hols.

Today PV:
B - Scrambled eggs & bacon; L - cold turkey; D - beef casserole, cauliflower mash, green beans; S - coffee muffin, stewed rhubarb

glad to hear your ok hun xx

phew! glad you are OK and enjoying Lewis and of course the lovely compliments - its brilliant isnt it when people acknowledge all your hard work :)

Sooooo glad to hear you are okay CD - totally an amazing plan to head to the island early - are you feeling better??? Hope so.... You sound v positive and I bet it is nice to see hubby. Lovely that people who haven't seen you for a while are soooooo amazed by your transformation - it is such a nice feeling isn't it - I am going to see about 50 people next week who haven't seen me since I lost 7 stone so I think they might be a bit surprised!! Funny how I just never thought of myself as being big and it never affected my confidence with the people I mix with but I am excited to show them the new me!!!
Glad you are staying on cruise till you feel ready to move onto conso - I think I may feel the same - but I will see when I get there.
Is the weather nice on Lewis? Hope so - we have had an amazing two weeks but getting colder now!!! Nice to be tucked up in my warm house!!
Anyway enjoy your time away, bet the children are loving it too - how is wee ones collar bone? Better now? are you all over your colds? xx

I agree Trudy, when I was big I didn't feel big - it didn't stop me getting a good job or make me feel insecure. In fact, I'm less confident now for some reason. And, I look at people's size all the time now which I never used to. Still can't believe I'm actually smaller than most people!!
Daughter's collar bone is all mended, which is perfect timing for the holidays. We spent yesterday at the beach which was great though chilly - coats were definitely kept on! Still got woken up at 6am this morning though - hubby was working last night so I have yet another early sunday wake up:sigh:. Not sure whether I like the new minimins, suppose I just need to get used to it.

Yeah CD I looked on the the new minimins, like you not sure so I'm back on my phone, its still the same on hear but still restrictive to what I you can do, have a good day x

Yes I don't think I could do this without the support and food ideas its been invaluable x massive brownie points for minimins

Agree with all of the above, like CD said, think I just need to get used to it. What I do like is the autosave that happens when you typing a post. My internet connection in the house is rubbish and drops off and before now I would type a whole paragraph and then lose it when I went to post it - almost losing the will to live and often not re-typing it - so there is a bonus!!!
Shame about no lie in CD but must be lovely to see hubby daily and nice for the children to be out and about.... Glad wee one all healed.... You endured quite a marathon over the last month or so!! x

Brrrrr, so cold here today. Been sorting through toys/clothes for most of the day. Bored now! Mr CD working this evening so I think a nice hot bath with my new book is on the cards. Today's PP:

Tomorrow's PV:
B - Scrambled eggs, mushrooms; L - Spicy chicken goujons (coated with oatbran), salad; D - Chicken & spinach curry, cauliflower rice YUMMY :)

Ohh CD liking the menu for tomorrow - sadly a PP day for me but think I might just make the curry on Wednesday - mind you could make it tomorrow and it will fast even better on the Wednesday!! A plan I think!! I saw there is a chance of snow in Scotland but not sure of Isle of Lewis location to know if you are affected or gonna be!!! Wish this lovely sun could continue - just loving it!!! Hope the bath is relaxing and lovely and the book one that you can't put down!!

My job today is sorting the mammoth task of summer clothes that are now enormous for my size 12 - 14 frame 'yeh loved typing that' - simple pleasures. So Ebay, charity shop, friends will be pleased.

How is the Isle of Lewis weather - snow? Just googled the Isle and its stunning - what fab beaches x

Chris - the beaches here truly are incredible, and very very quiet. Last night there was horrendous hail and today has been cold and snowing. I'm not a happy bunny as the warm weather was so enjoyable. Och well, it'll change for the better in the end. Have spent the day lazing as Mr CD's day off - it's been great! And he's making dinner tonight ;).

Wednesday PP:
B - ham omelette; L - Turkey; D - Salmon; S - Muffin/SF jelly

Thurs PV:
B - Mushroom & ham omelette; L - leftover Chicken curry; D - Burritos wrapped in lettuce leaves :)

NICE!!! LOLX

hope you had a great lazy day and MR CD cooked up a storm for you :D

Very wet Easter so couldn't get out:(. Fed up of the bad weather, quite looking forward to being back in Glasgow in a week - at least there is more to do there when it's raining!
Today's PV:

Tomorrow's PP:

Tomorrow we have a full day of visits with friends I haven't see for a year, since I was big.
