Caledonian Dukan

Great news that hubby got a job not so great if it means time apart but life always throws us something to deal with. You will be fine I am sure, we women adapt well and have a track record of getting on with things. Good luck

Just made chocolate chip muffins with the kids (normal ones for them!), they had those for snack and I had a tin of tuna! Yum ;).
Have made an appointment to have my legs waxed on Sunday and am going to be brave and get them out - first summer in years . Bought a lovely new denim skirt a couple of months ago, size 8, that I really want to wear (was wearing it with thick tights but that would look very odd in the middle of summer!) :). Also, my size 8-10 belt I bought on Mother's Day and wore on the first hole is now, today, on the last hole!!!!!!!! Even if the scales aren't showing weight loss I think my waist is showing inch loss :). Also, contemplating buying new scales - after all, these have been well used this past year and a half .

Lovely compliment from my husband (over Skype): "Your neck and shoulder look beautiful". Made me smile - might have very deflated boobs but have a nice collar-bone :D

ahhh ur hubby noticing ur neck is v sweet! Congrats on his new job, I have fond memories on isle of lewis with my mum and dad many many yrs ago !! Check u out with ur skirt, enjoy ur waxing (ouch lol)

Thanks Kirsty, he is very sweet and a compliment from him is always heartfelt so I'm happy. Lewis is a wonderful place to visit, maybe even to live just adults but not to bring up a family. It is very remote and attitudes there can be very unpleasant. The beaches though are amazing - I'm looking forward to the summer holidays as we'll spend a month or so there and might have a few nice days weather if we are lucky. My three youngest were all born there so it will always have a special place in my heart.

CD wait till he sees below your shoulders and sees them waxed tanned legs of yours whhhhhooooop, he will be in shock bless him xxx

Awwwww CD it's got to be hard with him being away, a friend of mines hubby works on the oil rigs & he is away 3 weeks at a time & she struggles so I can't imagine how hard it must be for you at times.

I've never been a fan of waxing, I always end up with legs looking like a plucked chicken, better stay away from anyone on Dukan otherwise they'd be after them :)

I'm envious of the size 8 skirt, that'll never be me. I think I'd be happy in a 12/14

Jo you can do it too, size 8 skirt, no problem!! Keep on the Dukan plan and it'll take us there. Ive never been a size 10, ever!! but thats were im heading one size down at a time!! Cx

How sweet to hear your hubby paying you such a nice compliment, mine's complaining about my bum getting smaller all the time, and LOL at your deflated boobs comment know how that feels :)

I NEVER thought I would fit into a size 8 - even as a teenager I was a size 10. Now, 5 kids and a few (!) years later I am a 8-10 all thanks to Dukan and my self-control. Together, we are an amazing team :D

Bleurgh - hate chewing through mountains of protein with a bad sore throat :(
Today's PV has been very dull, only had cucumber and celery as I need to do some shopping; dull, dull, dull. Baked a lavender and white chocolate cheesecake for a friend and spent ages getting it a gorgeous lavender-purple colour: it looked amazing, smelt amazing and apparently tasted pretty good too!! It's hard baking things I've never made before these days as I can't try them and I get worried I've made a hash of it and it is yucky. Nowadays, my taste-testers are usually the kids but they are rather indiscriminate and say any cake is yummy even shop value stuff!

Tomorrow's PV:
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, Lunch: Tuna x 2, Dinner: Salmon, Snack: Rhubarb and ginger muffin.

CD * massive hugs*, hope your throat clears soon xxx

It was! Wonder whether lavender has carbs? Quite fancy some purple muffins :D
A friend was a bit over-generous adding green tea to some muffins and made them violently green :D

nice!!! what did they taste like? I dont like green tea, reminds me of ear wax, but i used to sit up trees as a kid in scotland and eat oxo cubes, yup I really did, damn my mother and the lack of pocket money for sweeties ;/

I am pretty sure it has, don't they extract lav oil from the plant itself? The cake sounded amaze and I am sending healing thoughts your way, hope you feel better soon.

CD you are inspiring, 5 kids & in a size 8 !!!!! I've never been anywhere near a size 8, if I stick to Dr D's target TW I reckon I'll be a 12 & I'd be happy with that I think but I'll see nearer the time.

Your cake sounds amazing !!!!!!

Hope your throat feels better soon x
