Calling all Irish!!!

fendigal - Is it the Pat the Baker Multigrain in the orangey packaging? Pat the Baker - Ireland's Best Bread If it is I got it and I weighed 2 slices and they worked out as 5 propoints. :( The bread gave the values for 100g and the 2 slices I took weighed a combined 68g. The values on the sliced pan are different to the ones on the internet.

Good to see so many Irish Ladies on here these days. It's been a while since I was on here. Bad health and all that. Lost a good amount of weight on my own (well had no appetite) and now that my appetite is back (and 5lbs with it :() I want to get back into healthy eating :D. It's been January since I was at a meeting - we moved house since and no classes that suit me here. Can I ask is the base points starting 29pts still? Now that I am down to 13.7 stone what points should I be on please? Thanks x:family2:

Thanks..yep thats the one i was talkin about..i meant weighing it at wknd to make definate sure i was just goin off the website! ah well..t'was a nice dream while it last ha ha! Seems most bread is 2 pp a slice anyway..had a portion talk in class lst wk and our leader was sayin a good indicator is once its not thicker than your index finger it should be in or around 2 pp per slice..just if you had to guess while out and about.
Dubgirl..looove superquinn sausages thanks for the info :)

Ive had such a bad wknd..between parties, a wedding and out for the day on sunday im dreading to think of the scales this week.

You and me both fendigal... not that I had weddings and parties or a day out.. but seriously too much alcohol was comsumed and as a result too much food to curb the hangover was also consumed.. Oh well... A new day n all that...

oh great I do love Superquinn Sausages nom nom nom. Even better that there is a low fat version...off to the shops for me!

Hey all :) not doing WW, I'm doing SW but I am Irish and thought I'd join :) If that's okay? :) x

Thanks Frances - that is great about the points. So I am allowed 30 on a daily basis and then have the 49pts to play around and use if I want.

Yummymummy - great to see that you are still here. I kept meaning to log on and see how you were doing. Weight loss is flying for you I see . I did manage to lose some weight as you can see. I was down by 4 stone and was just 13stone down from 17st 3lbs. Have been back in and out of the hospital the last few months. Wasn't feeling the best since February time and I pushed them into giving me a scan before I was going back to work plus work needed for me to have a clean bill of health. Needless to say things didn't go my way and a new tumour was found and so since May I've been having radiotherapy everyday (now finished - thank god :D) and on a new very strong chemo regime. Am off this 3 weeks now and am back to see the consultant on the 25th August to see what is what now. I am hoping that the tumour has disappeared or shrunk away to nothing. I have been told that I am going to be on chemo for the rest of my life (basically every 3rd week for 1 day only). :) So as a result my appetite disappeared and I could not stomach anything at all - even smelling food would make me puke. So :eek:the hospital put me on these meal replacement drinks (kind of like Complan) and this high calorie supplement drink too and so since my appetite came back 2 weeks ago I have put on about 4 or 5lbs. I know I shouldn't be giving out but look at me - I am . So how have you been keeping? Any hols planned for this year? Or have you been away already. We are hoping to get to Florida in November (going to wait till after the doc appt to book).
Hi to all the other ladies - I might not post all the time but I do lurk. Good Luck this week to you all xx:D

That was a couple weeks ago, haven't got them since but I presume they still have em. The ones I got in dunnes were refrigerated ones, are they the ones you're looking for or was it frozen ones?

Just found this thread,hi all! Sitting on the floor pushing my 20 month old off to sleep in the buggy ( he was in hosp Monday night and is a wreck since then!) so have loads of time to browse. Great to get all of the irish tips!
