Hi everyone,

I'm on my third day of the Alli programme - I've posted a couple of times on the Alli thread but it seems to be pretty dead and I wondered if anyone here could answer a question I have...

I'm a bit worried because I've hardly gone to the toilet for three days I've noticed other people have said they suffer with constipation. I feel bloated but I can't go, so I took a laxative last night and it hasn't even worked.. has anyone else here suffered from this, who could give me some advice?

I've been using Xencial for 10days now and havn't had any side effects, but i think been constipation is one of them. If you are feeling pain or discomfort i would advice you to stop taking them and consult your doctor.

Are you drinking enough letty ? Also what laxative did you take? I use dulcolax, and it works well for me. I take one tablet at about 9pm, and I'll go first thing the next morning. If however its really painful, I'd go see your pharmacist as they'll be able to help too

I had the dreaded bunged up business for about 2 weeks after strating xenical, ditto alli, drink loads of water and try a dulcolax, but I'm sure things will sort themselves out soon, mine did..lol.

drink plenty of water , i eat a handful of brazil nuts well maybe 2-3 .. its got the good fats in it .. it doesnt produce sude effects as such for me but i can go to the loo easy... but bare in mind everyones diff and these may give you side effects
